ss24?? Not PJ wor brader haaha this is in Shah Alam. http://kweekie.blogspot.com/2012/03/secret...warga-emas.htmlthis mate shared his experiences and secret. Finally, let me share my secrets of catching some fish here. The secret of fishing here got all things to do with the rig.
Floats are not allowed, hence, anglers must use a sinker. I advise to use bomb rig, you may bait with bran (dedak) that you buy from the counter, or personally I prefer to use pallets, also available at the counter. Mix with water then they will become soft and ready to be bait.
Use a swivel to clip the bomb together with the sinker (a small one around 100 g will do), and then use a dropper knot as a leader at this swivel as well. then use 2 hooks at the ends of the knot, with a length of 2-3 feet each.
Use floating baits at the end of both hooks like the corn crumb that they sell at the counter as well. This way, the bomb will sink to the bottom together with the sinker, but the hooks will float. As the bomb breaks, which will call the fish to come to feed at top water and you shall hope the fish take the bait on your hook in mid water.Rules of the pond The operator charges RM 31 for a 3 hours session and the rules of fishing here is as follows, 1. Have to use a looped sinker, floats are not allowed. 2. Fishes has to be hooked at the mouth, otherwise it will be paid / listed in the jackpot. 3. You cannot touch the fish that are more than 4 kgs, but you are however, allowed to bring back those that are smaller than 4kgs. When in doubt, bring the fish to the counter. I think there are other unwritten laws which I did not checked out with the operator at the counter i.e. no casting of lures, using messy baits like intestines etc but they are generally friendly and even allow you to fish over time if you did not see any action at all.
This place doubles as a malay tom yum restaurant at night. It is more quiet during the day and personally, I would prefer going to this spot during the day to avoid some karaoke singing from the restaurant. This post has been edited by 1dollar: Jun 13 2012, 05:38 PM

QUOTE(fookie @ Jun 13 2012, 06:32 PM) wah so many rules one ar. Rules quite std ler, no floater is common, but I dunno why no luring (maybe no lures with treble hooks) Rule 2 is good to prevent foul hooking Big fishes to release back is also common, else some places sells you back by weight.

Just found out that Jurrasic has another operations up in Ulu Selangor
“Jurassic Angling Park” is a joint venture business concept mainly managed by “Jurassic Game Fishing Service” and supported by “Gold Pond Aquaculture Sdn Bhd”. It is located at Ulu Selangor, Selangor, Malaysia. The size of the supported area is around 200 acre and currently conducting cultivation of exotic fish and edible fish.
The covered area has around 30 different sized lakes. “Jurassic Game Fishing Service” will cooperate with “Gold Pond Aquaculture Sdn Bhd” to develop 3 of the many lakes in this area. These 3 lakes consist 40 acres of land. The main objective is to develop them into a “Catch and Release” concept fishing pond and will be named as “Jurassic Angling Park”.
3 different sized lakes will be named as “Jurassic One”, “Jurassic Two”, and “Jurassic Three” “Jurassic One” main target and attraction will be Lure Casting Anglers. This is mainly due that although lure casting in Malaysia is already very popular, but the quantity of target fishes for luring for example: Toman, Sebarau, Peacock Bass etc are not very positive in the wild due to over hunting and pollutions.
Nowadays the main problem that the Lure Casting Anglers are facing is even though they have a lot of expensive gears but they do not have a place to make use of it. That is why “Jurassic Angling Park” is aiming an eye on these anglers, including those dreaming to catch Toman from other foreign countries and the exploitation of Lures Industries. The Jurassic Angling Park will give them an unforgettable, solid experience.
“Jurassic Two”, second largest of the three lakes. In this great sized lake lives a lot of different species of fish. Currently the predatorily type of fish are not in the quantity for luring, therefore “Jurassic Two” will mainly for bottom fishing. During the afternoon heat when the Toman in “Jurassic One” are not active, lure casting anglers can use this opportunity to rest and go for an easy yet exciting experience for bottom fishing.
“Jurassic Three”, another emphasizing operation, will be using “Mekong Catfish” and “Arapaima” as selling point. But currently the angling points are not clear and infrastructures are not available, landing a giant fish at this area will be obstructed and will cause heavy damage to the fish. That is why “Jurassic Three” will not be make open to the public, until further infrastructures for example building few floating houses etc, until the best condition for fishing.
= Jurassic Angling Park Preliminary Sequence and Rules =
1) The operation of Jurassic Angling Park is similar to Travel Agencies. Conducted and operated by professional Fishing Guide from “Jurassic Game Fishing Service”
2) Jurassic Angling Park is only open on every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
3) Every trip consisting 14 hours each day. Starting from 6.00am early morning assemble at the Rawang TOLL, customers will drive following the lead of Jurassic Fishing Guide for around 1 hour into the heart of Jurassic Angling Park.
4) After arriving at the Jurassic Angling Park, Jurassic Fishing Guide will take 15-20 minutes of time to explain the sequence in Jurassic Angling Park. The main point will be safety in the area. After explanation on the sequence, then only Jurassic Fishing Guide will provide the angling boat for anglers in “Jurassic One”.
5) Every Fiber boat will only have two anglers. If the Jurassic Fishing Guide sees that the anglers have no experience in boating or dangerously maneuvering the boat, he/she will be immediately stopped and forced to hire a boatman or advice customer to cast on land.
6) During the boat luring period, if all anglers have an agreement to shift to the “Jurassic Two” for bottom fishing, Jurassic Fishing Guide will guide them to the area, until 3pm in the afternoon anglers will decide to stay for bottom fishing or continue boat luring.
7) Lunch and resting period will be at 12pm – 1pm, boatman and Jurassic Fishing Guide will use this opportunity to rest.
8) Any catch in the Jurassic Angling Park are to be released after photo session.
9) Trip will end at 6.30pm, using another 30minutes to pack and assemble, and then leave at 7.00pm sharp.

QUOTE(vioxmonsta @ Jun 19 2012, 10:30 PM) I heard Abu revo got new bc. Price is bout ltx, rm 780 MGX / ALT / LTX all abang and adik ler. ALT / LT / LTX are JDM specs. LTX shallow spool same body with MGX only for fresh water use built with Mg body and carbon plates. more for finesse fishing. ALT is aluminium plates with carbon frame for both salty and fresh water use. THink all 3 uses centrifugal braking system unlike the Elite that uses magnetic brakes. Expect to pay higher price for ALT and LTX because its JDM. IMHO MGX is good enough coming from Pure fishing malaysia, can get at RM6XX Added on June 20, 2012, 1:44 pmany of you owns or using a fish finder/scanner? which model in the market is reasonably good and bang for buck ? I may not be using UL also, but going with Light 10lb instead. Will bring both 6 and 10 in case gatal to hear my drag rip away. Lures too expensive to waste.
Added on June 28, 2012, 2:51 pmanyone tune and upgrade the internals of your BC reels? Trying to work out a budget here and need some opinion.
Hunting for the Curado E and Chronarch E is a tiring game, and its cost above my budget.
Was thinking, if I get myself a Citica E then upgrade with ABEC 7 bearing, add shaft bearings and change to carbontex drag, does that make my Citica a Curado ? Calculated with all the upgrades,.. its only 3/4 of the curado/chronarch price.

QUOTE(rorytate @ Jun 29 2012, 09:54 AM) Citica E does not have shaft bearings, i think. Most of the newer Shimano BC Reels does not have the spool shaft bearing anymore. Older models yes they have the bearing. Correct,... Citica E doesnt have a shaft bearing,. its just a plastic washer there on the shaft. There is an upgrade part to replace the washer with bearings.
