Not bad reel for the price, smooth. Basically it was simple and nice feel to my large palm.
Cost below RM290,.. cant ask much, almost like Caenan.

I just received my Daiwa TDA, need some advice since its the first BC i bought.

Reel works fine and great but notice that the reel handle can go reverse. Technical specs says it has infinite anti-reverse. But mine more like infinite reverse. Set knob tension and star drag,.. still the handle can go backwards. why like this ar?

I hope the A/R is not koyak, i am just praying that the A/R clutch or gear is not lock down properly. There are no shaky parts in the reel when i shake it.

OK,.. experiment time, think i'll take it apart and give it the first service to grease and lube up all the moving parts adequately. Got my schematics and 2 sites with full pics to guide.

Where to get oil and grease ? Can it be any lube oil or any type grease?

So I would need
1) Karchang (screwdriver, spanner, tweezers...etc)
2) some lighter fluid to flush and clean existing grease
3) grease , lube, silicon spray

New unit bought from Ebay,.. couldnt resist the cheap price!
Saw in kepong selling 670 and some kaki here bought 400
I only paid 287 ringgit lol,.. brand new unit in box.

I've emailed the seller in US liao,.. reputable seller with proper shop.
Hope he respond back... but i rugi another round of shipping cost.

yup thats the alternative. but still need to take the reel apart to see whats wrong inside. and can clean up and lube up as well.. should have order the boca orange seal and carbontex drags. no need to bukak again next time.

its a lovely reel,.. like it so much... my first ever BC reel.

This round of shipping only 1 reel, more to come this month. Gonna buy some cheap china made replica lures by bulk.
Bidding for some used rapala Lots, rods and more BC reels. As for soft plastics, I prefer them on my light spinning setup, casting 1/4-1/8oz with very good distance. Add on those small clip on drop shot weights and you can go even further.

Within your budget for BC,.. i can get you 300 for a fine setup if you arent too particular bout brands and what not.
I was at kepong helping a friend to shop, we walked out with a BC setup below RM300.
Go get the Banax Big SHoot (Rm120) full graphite and plastic on mag brakes. Really smooth and damn good buy for the price.
Abu Vengance rod RM125 and spider wire 15lb code red about RM36. Enough to buy Xzoga 20lbs flouro leader also.
There were cheaper Rods also but its up to you,... maybe if you wanna invest on the rod,.. get the new Fenwick ELite smallmouth... love that rod
8-14lbs and its whippy going for RM255 in Ocean Sea, 253 in Kepong and 250 in Digital Puchong.

Other BC reels you may wanna consider
Shimano Caenan approx RM250
Abu garcia Promax 1 approx 190-210
Abu Promax 2 - 280
Team Seahawk Infinity bass II - RM230

They are all good BC reels with graphite frames.

Not too pro with the prices for anything longer than 6'6", whats your budget and when you need?
I usually go window shopping on Saturdays, will keep an eye for you.
lately the Korean brand Boosna popping like mushrooms in major tackle shops, decent pricing 120-280. Quality also not too bad.
Kepong a lot of shimano amenista rods but way out of my budget, else you may wanna try SS4 tackle for Major Craft rods.
Kepong sponsored Jurassic some rods which i find em very good for its price, 96 bucks only heard its local made but the strengh was fantastic.
Check with Jeffrey, cant remmeber the brand it was 10-20lb if i recall, we cast a lure across the pond at jurassic with the caenan.

Can, let me know what you buying or bidding so I wont hike the bidding price hahaha. We can split the shipping cost and customs tax whereever applicable. Trying to get some decent rods that Malaysia dont have, St.Croix, Daiwa Procyon and even the Daiwa TDT 661MXB. StCroix mojo Bass on sale RM222 only hehehe. But I worry the rod will break during shipping, vpost charge extra for repacking per item.

10 gram lure,.. can cast very far liao lor.... distance,.. nothing much to to with rod stiffness. Reel and line to be exact for getting the distance.
Get the Fenwick la,.. you wont regret it leh... I might end up getting it if i cant find my damn daiwa rod.
TCE sports dont bring in the 6'6" AARRGGHHH,.. need to buy from amazon.. got sale heheh

What rod you want?? I only buying cheap and good deals according to my fishing style wor.
Fishing rod is like a gf,.. u must choose carefully and love it without your wife knowing.
