Bidding prices online are so tempting, but I dont have a price guide here in KL for some reels I am looking.
Some stuffs are quite cheap after discount in Amazon and Ebay, like the Pflueger Patriarch BC, Ocean Sea selling RM670 and Kepong RM680.
If you get from Ebay, its about RM480 without shipping. Vpost shipping will cost another RM60 or so, so its still cheaper buying online but no warranty and cant test the reel.

Dunno which stinger you bought, i saw in Rawang Qiao yen, offered me 280 for the 6ft model, cant remember the poundage.
Have to say that is another shop i trust the price is low, only been there once but I like the service.

Ouch, not sure if some of the tackle shops does shipping or not. Have you tried Mudah.com ? Some prices are quite reasonable if you have a specific colour or model in mind. Else do try local online fishing tackle store like knkfishing or minstortackle

Maybe you can make friends with some diving kaki, you know how they like Sipadan and tawau areas and these ppl travel often.

Ohh 12 hours to go, if you signed up with drop shipping, its worth it and cheaper than buying from our local stores.
Local stores also cant give warranty cos this is JDM and MIJ model. On sale model is right hand reel.
Plenty upgrade with Boca ceramic bearings 5 & 7 and carbontex drag also available, with those upgrades, it will last you years ahead.

Hence need bulk shipping and use drop shipping.
If this item alone Vpost charged about 24SG$ only bout RM59.
The more you purchase the more you can stuff into the box and sent back to KL saving more shipping fee.

Drop shipping companies register you with a local address in certain countries enabling you to enjoy ebay and amazon free shipping.
Like vpost gave me a UK, US and Japan address, so I can shop online with those ppl offering free shipping
Only pay 1 time to vpost from US back to KL via sea frieght (avg 2-3 weeks arrival)

Dont forget to register your Ebay with your US address else you cant bid for non international sales.

Sadly,... Patriarch XTLP is no longer available and discontinued by manufacturer. now its all the same model as yours with slight upgrades on the gears and spool.
That makes the Ocean Sea XT Carbon unit more valuable

As advice and reviewed by bro Vioxmonsta, bottom bouncing lures should work. In my opinion, I think Rawang monsters will take on any lures.

I'm going with 6lbs main line with 10lbs FC leader, will try Carolina rigging to bounce off the bottom using soft plastic worm or minnows. Do make sure your drag works well, cos those fishes will be fighting your drag most of the time when hook is set.

Yeah pricey! RM350 but rare item its either SNOW or Majorcraft for BC UL setups.

wahh high end!! my dream rod,.. one day I will get it. Gloomis, Lamiglas or St.Croix and megabass.

Back to the Light and UL BC rods,.. only seens MC Volkey and rapala Snow which 3-8lbs for Volkey going for 700 and Snow going for 350 rated at 4-10lb... tempting... need a small and light bc reel maybe Curado 51E

yeah scorpion 1001xt would be good too but over my budget ler,... about RM680 right?
