There are some fat fools in my gym who overdid this permabulking thing too far and walk around with a belly, no.cuts and with an.exaggerated lat spread syndrome. I think they might be denial that they're just fat and think they're big. Lol funny shit. You guys seen stuff like that at your gyms?

QUOTE(alexooi17 @ Sep 30 2011, 05:40 PM) Its not that. I used to have this silly hardcore mentality where no belts, no straps, only free weights, etc.Things change. All my arm workouts are cable based. My back workout is pure machine based, etc. And I love the Smith machine. |

QUOTE(ZintanthraX @ Oct 7 2011, 10:43 PM) today is my back and leg day. added weights to almost all of the workout. and here's the post workout meal. oh yeah! Man... if you're trying to cut, that's a lot of fatty sauce there. If you're bulking..... fair enough I guess.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « and protein shakes. QUOTE(Alphaproject @ Oct 8 2011, 11:15 AM) why you guys so concern about the number of weights? I'm proud of my poundages. And poundages do matter to me. I'm obsessed about it cos more poundages mean more muscle. I have excellent form. Being obsessed with poundages is good as long as form isn't sacrificed. sloppy form, bad technique, body looked like anythings but a bodybuilder, but proud of the poundage hoisted? seen alot of these dudes around my local gym... with the same body each and every years, can benched, rows, presses twice what i can lift... but somehow, stay the farking same for the last ten years.... QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 8 2011, 12:30 PM) Because poundages DO mattter. You ain gonna get big if you're not gonna add weights. Imo weights lifted take a very close second to form. You can have perfect form, but with too light a weight its still not gonna matter, too. Correct. Beginner = moderate weights, perfect form. Advanced = near perfect form, heavier weights. I cheat a lot of barbell curls when curling 135 lbs and above. But it doesn't mean i'm not stimulating growth. QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 8 2011, 01:40 PM) hmm how can u tell whether they are happy or not at their current state. I don't know their form or wat poundages they r lifting but i believe some ppl are happy at their current size and probably are just lifting for fun or just maintaining. Or it could be their diet tats ruining the whole process. Lol... everyone wants to improve and keep progressing. It doesn't have to be wanting to get bigger. QUOTE(statikinetic @ Oct 8 2011, 01:51 PM) Why not? Quite possible. I'm 71kg but close grip bench press 265 or so for triceps alone. jamis saw me doing it yesterday. It's quite possible for Zin to bench that much. |

QUOTE(kaspersky-fan @ Oct 11 2011, 01:19 PM) Just before taking a shit and having food poisoning. QUOTE(-Dan @ Oct 11 2011, 01:27 PM) I did that ONCE before when I was starting out. My logic was something like 'one's push and one's pull, they'll cancel each other out'. LOL It's ok actually but my volume too high. Should have stuck to just 3 exercises each with lower reps. |

QUOTE(Aztec @ Oct 12 2011, 08:17 PM) so...i got a question..what are ur opinions on fapping/sex on a workout day(after the workout)..does it hinder progress by lowering test levels? or is it just broscience? I used to have sex in preworkout, post workout and at night. It's fine. It's all in the mind la. |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Oct 14 2011, 12:44 AM) Bought mine in Jusco. Expensive, no doubt. Hungry....... Heh, here's the video I got it from. I used chocolate instead of vanilla whey. A bit of advice. Unless you're sure of your baking skills, use half the ingredients (or less) to test it out first. I used 1 cup quinoa instead of 2 like Rob used, and I still got quite a decent amount out of the mixture. For roasting the nuts, about 5-8 minutes @ 170deg Celcius should do the trick provided the oven is preheated. Mine were slightly charred after leaving them in for 10 minutes. They're about an inch or so thick in the picture up there. Also, unless you have a damn powerful blender, blend the mixture in parts. I made the mistake of dumping the whole thing in and jamming up my blender, so I had to scoop it back out before I could continue. Also I noticed that after blending and adding the nuts/whey/raisins/etc, the consistency wasn't quite right, as in it was too sticky and clump and didn't combine well. Fixed that by adding milk gradually while mixing to combine. |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 17 2011, 02:32 PM) You are a very patient person. Seriously, those earlier times when it was just you around here. Goodness. All the pinned threads, all the response you gave. No idea how you did all that without imploding within. QUOTE(Alphaproject @ Oct 17 2011, 02:55 PM) I'm f***in 32. I just can't be bothered dealing with testosterone charged conversations and disputes all the time. Besides it's more fun to lie back and watch. |

QUOTE(deknoi @ Oct 18 2011, 01:13 AM) Dietary cholesterol has very little impact on blood cholesterol levels. Saturated fat in the diet does. Eggs != high blood cholesterol QUOTE(LeanSupp @ Oct 18 2011, 07:06 AM) +1 , there's a research being done somewhere last time, i read it before that athlete who took 4 whole eggs doesn have any significant elevated cholesterol serum lvl. or more canc it say it doesn not change much on cholesterol lvl There are exceptions to every rule. If yoire a genetically predisposed hyper responder like one of my past patients, then you're in.for a world of hurt. That's why its always important to get routine bloodwork done.usually the cholesterol problem is due to the own synthesize of cholesterol in the body, it cna be reduced by taking fibres which binds to the bile, examples oats. (sorry, forgotten insoluble or soluble fibre already. getting old here ) fish oil helps in reducing cholesterol lvl, so it is possible due to omega 3 . |
