Can any kind soul here please teach me which button(s) to press on my scientific calculator to "invert".

It is for discounting PV, e.g. 1/(1+R)^5

after keying (1+R)^5, how can I invert it to become 1/(1+R)^5?

Why don't you just press "1/ANS" after you get the (1+R)^5 value?

All sifu, mind if i ask some question due to curiosity?

1.Do malaysia allow a company to pay tax on profit before distributing them to the shareholders so the shareholders don't need to pay any further tax on the said profits?

2.Are company tax rate similar to personal income tax brackets, so for each additional xxx amount of profit is taxed at extra x%, or is fixed rate?

3.If a company has few subsidiaries, some are joint ventures, how does the profit/tax work? Do each subsidiaries pay their tax on their profit as such the mother company no need to pay any further taxes on those incomes or profit is distributed to mother company and then tax?

4.Are property investment profits by a company taxable (other than the <5 years 6% tax), since it is not taxable for personal sales, or are they taxed like normal profits? If no, are the shareholder taxable for this profit?

5.Are sales of company equipment/assets taxable? How is the profit calculated? For example the company bought a machine for rm1000, after few years they sold it for rm1500, is the rm500 taxable or some inflation is included for valuing? What if they sold it for rm500, is that rm500 part of the profit or consider a loss of rm500?

6a.Are profit gained by shareholder from selling their shares taxable? I assume profit from playing market share is not taxable, but what about company shares? How are the profit determined (how to evaluate shareholder's investment to calculate profit?)

6b.What about shares distributed by a company to it's employee, are those share taxable when received, & profit taxable after selling? Whether the share is public listed share or for non public listed % ownership of the company ( i assume they can sell the % of their ownership)?
