I'm a student and a photography noob. I need a camera when I go to study abroad later (just for normal photography).

I'm thinking of getting a camera with the requirements:
- very good image quality (I prefer higher contrast photos)
- handy (not too big, since I'm a girl)
- without the need of keep changing lenses
- the cheapest the better

Should I choose Sony NEX C3 or NEX 5 or Nex 3 or NEX whatever? (I am so confused which is which)

Also, to save money, I hope to get only one lense. What is 18-55 lense? Is it good enough for ordinary use?

I think you're better off with maybe a Lumix LX5. That should be a good starter camera with it's buildin zoom etc.
It cost like rm1350 now

Among all the NEX, which is the most suitable for me?

Below RM2k (including a lense) is fine.

If below 2k your choice is nex-C3. Not nex-3 but the new C3. It cost around Rm1890 for the 1855 kit. Twin lens around rm2290.

For nex-5N add around rm400 more

well if you are new, NEX-5 will do fine, offering superb image quality and full HD video. The 18-55mm will do wonders if you do mind walk a bit nearer for object in a far distance!

Of course the new NEX-5N (touch screen) and NEX-C3 both have are good becoz using the new 16Mpx sensor which know for low light / high ISO performance. But both slight above your budget!

for you, take NEX-C3 + 18-55mm standard zoom lens is good enough. 2k just ngam.

Budget tight then take NEX-3 , its very good as well.

Any clicking noise? Btw I heard that clip on screen protectors don't fit the 5N is that true?

There is no heating issue as far as I am concerned. It'll overheat when you shoot video for over 20 mins. What kind of super amazing single take scene that you are making? I would love to see that clip. Unless it's a... "private" clip... hahahahaha.

Currently the two "issues" affects only video recording. No issue for me, bad for a lot of people. wiNd! Faster test the video clicking issue and let us know.

NEX3 with ISO1600 RAW , pumped +1 on Camera Raw to ISO3200 Eqv.
Pretty impressive. Definitely newer camera like C3, 5N are more awesome !

Just try asking price of NEX5 at bintang maju summit usj..guess how much they selling it? Rm2499. And its for pan cake lens only. When i asking the new nex5n price they bluur already n give stupid answer 'where got other nex5? Only one model only'. I was like wtff man??
