what does it comes with? Standard package, everything in standard package. 1999 for single lens, 2199 for twin lens. |

just buy it and sell off the lenses. i actually planned earlier on to do that but what the heck, i think i will just keep it and see what it can do. maybe buy the fisheye adaptor for the 16mm.

If you guys have been reading the rumors, the old NEX 3 n 5 sensors were having problems at the corners for the pancake lenses.
That's why it's very soft. Heard that the new NEX 7 sensor has some micro lenses which can help. |

the 18-200mm review on most site is ok ish
and it is a more proper bokeh machine than micro four third with their larger sensor and lenses,i went trying ep-3 and nex-c3 side by side with their kit lens on some shop few days ago,and even with kit lens nex larger sensor did produce substantially more background isolation than ep-3,no matter how i like bout the micro four third system,i can't give up the capability afforded by a larger sensor format, except if something dramatic is being made by pana/olym to address this imho, you can always get back some of the sharpness/detail through whatever means, shooting raw, better lens design, technological advancement, but you simply can't make a small sensor becoming large no matter what you like to say, that is the only card hold by sony with their nex i think,i just hope they make use of this advantage as much as possible, not continue create cameras intend for dummy which doesn't care about how big the sensor is This post has been edited by Valentino46: Aug 8 2011, 03:03 AM |

One of the main reason why I ditch my GF1. The Lumix lenses are good but they are not cheap. I don't want to buy anymore into that system cause there's only so much you can do with that M43 sensor.

QUOTE(Valentino46 @ Aug 8 2011, 02:53 AM) the 18-200mm review on most site is ok ish yah the only cons for the larger sensor is the size of those lens..... though the body is smaller but the size of the lens is not as small the body creating the big lens small body effect. and it is a more proper bokeh machine than micro four third with their larger sensor and lenses,i went trying ep-3 and nex-c3 side by side with their kit lens on some shop few days ago,and even with kit lens nex larger sensor did produce substantially more background isolation than ep-3,no matter how i like bout the micro four third system,i can't give up the capability afforded by a larger sensor format, except if something dramatic is being made by pana/olym to address this imho, you can always get back some of the sharpness/detail through whatever means, shooting raw, better lens design, technological advancement, but you simply can't make a small sensor becoming large no matter what you like to say, that is the only card hold by sony with their nex i think,i just hope they make use of this advantage as much as possible, not continue create cameras intend for dummy which doesn't care about how big the sensor is In the other way round they said the M4/3 lens should be cheaper becoz their size are smaller but then..... i dun see those M4/3 lens being tat much of a cheaper anyway. |

QUOTE(zXJaMeSXz @ Aug 7 2011, 11:38 PM) Lens only ler.QUOTE(Valentino46 @ Aug 8 2011, 02:53 AM) the 18-200mm review on most site is ok ish IMHO, the whole experience of using the camera (the Zen) is more important than the tech sheet.and it is a more proper bokeh machine than micro four third with their larger sensor and lenses,i went trying ep-3 and nex-c3 side by side with their kit lens on some shop few days ago,and even with kit lens nex larger sensor did produce substantially more background isolation than ep-3,no matter how i like bout the micro four third system,i can't give up the capability afforded by a larger sensor format, except if something dramatic is being made by pana/olym to address this imho, you can always get back some of the sharpness/detail through whatever means, shooting raw, better lens design, technological advancement, but you simply can't make a small sensor becoming large no matter what you like to say, that is the only card hold by sony with their nex i think,i just hope they make use of this advantage as much as possible, not continue create cameras intend for dummy which doesn't care about how big the sensor is As such, I feel that PEN, GF and NEX form factor is really more suited towards pancake lens. Even with the kit zoom, they all feel fiddly and unbalanced... can't shoot it like a dslr and can't shoot it like a compact also. Despite always bashing bonzai dslr's .... panny G and GH is the one to go if zoom lens are a must. Anyway, regarding sensor size... the issue is not bokeh.. you can always fit faster glass on it. And in this case, a smaller sensor is not necessarily at a disadvantage. Main disadvantage however is the darn dynamic range. You can bokeh a m43 to match a pic from a 5DMk2 but never the DR (unless bracket and shoot hdr thought that's another story). Lastly, m43 with kit zoom has even a tad less low light capability and roughly same dof as the XZ-1 niah. But they are cheaper compared with dslr's isn't it? Like 20mm f1.7 is a touch over 1K niah.... and for dslr, that's considered to be el cheapo category di. |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Aug 8 2011, 10:38 AM) Lens only ler. yeah,i still remember the first time i pick up a pen camera and the feeling is wonderful, but i don't think the nex-5 in particular is that bad,the grip is decent, but the thing with nex-5 of other similar mirrorless camera is that they lack the evf and eyepiece,in which it can aids support when u composing picture on it,and its the same problem when u using liveview to compose with DSLR,the handling suddenly become oddIMHO, the whole experience of using the camera (the Zen) is more important than the tech sheet. Like 20mm f1.7 is a touch over 1K niah.... and for dslr, that's considered to be el cheapo category di. and if i don't want to manual focus a big aperture non native lens ,then most of the native m4/3 lens is simply not enough, and i had observe some bokeh pic of the new olym 45mm f1.8 m4/3 from some web,the isolation capabilities still very much below my expectation with nex i don't have to spend too much on fast lens to achieve enough bokeh, and still enjoy the convenient and precision of CDAF which imho one of the greatest unrealized advantage of mirrorless camera and yeah,DR problem which you mentioned, although i care less of that now i'm considering a system which i want to invest upon and i really need to weight everything really carefully, its not cheap to change system later on as like now i'm selling my brickstone DSLR,and i don't want to stuck with a disadvantage forever |
