There is one advantage of LED flash - it can be used as a torchlight while Xenon flash can't. However Xenon flash is much more powerful than LED.

There's a Nokia shop in Aeon Bukit Tinggi near the cineplex. It has a demo set (not dummy one) and pre-orders of 64GB N9 are entitle to free bluetooth headset.

Quite true. Plus the fact that low light is not the best situation to use phone cameras the flash is more useful as a torchlight than for actual photography.

If the dealer has promised you a BH505 with no condition attached, hold him to his word. A screen protector is far from the value of a bluetooth headset.

It looks like different dealers have different gifts or conditions which shouldn't be the case as the gifts are provided by Nokia. In my case the dealer told me there will be a free BH505. No condition attached. So I expect to get a BH505. Could it be that some dealers are keeping or substituting the gifts?

As dealers differ in gifts and terms customers should shop around for a dealer who can give them the best deal.

Easy to explain. The evil Elop doesn't want N9 to succeed but he can't put the brakes on his staff's enthusiasm.

It's not up to Nokia, it's up to the new Intel-Samsung partnership whether they want to make Tizen compatible with N9 hardware. The advantage of doing so will be to take advantage of the pool of apps for N9 instead of starting the app store again from scratch.

It can't be a trial run or promo campaign for WP7. N9 is being denied for major markets where WP7 will be launched. These are markets with big populations like U.S., U.K., Germany, France and India. The reason is that Elop doesn't want N9 to compete with WP7 when it is launched. Even Symbian has been killed off in U.S.

To me this is a strategy of desperation. How will denying customers access to Meego and Symbian push them to WP7? They cater to different market segments. Instead of looking at the coexistence of different OS, Elop has chosen to put all his eggs in one basket. BTW, he's ex-Microsoft.

Coexistence of different OS is possible with a big corporation like Nokia. Samsung Mobile which is smaller than Nokia can have Android, WP7, Bada and now Tizen.

OK, to get back to N9 discussion, anybody got a call from their dealer to collect their booking yet?

I suspected all along the BH505 is an official free gift by Nokia, not by generous dealers giving personal gifts. Unless you want to trust one tweet by one guy named Jeff.

To make the N9 less attractive in China? Elop is desperate!

I hope I can get it by Friday so I can play with it on my trip back to my wife's home town. Kind of boring place if you know I mean. If the shop can't cut the SIM for me, where else can I get it cut to micro SIM?

Is it true that if we want to transfer data between two N9's we can just touch them like kissing?

Today the iphone 5 and iphone 4S will be revealed.

Depend on demand. If dealer can easily sell off your booking why not?

But when will iphone 5 come to Malaysia? Maybe months and sure not less than RM2800 for 32GB. Some more have to buy on contract or dealer won't sell to you.
