QUOTE(eaglehelang @ Sep 20 2011, 11:22 PM) Yup. All the main features I want is available on the N9 out of the box. Except the flashplayer function, that super evil said they're working on it. You have any idea if the Office application is Quickoffice or the PC Word,Excel, Powerpoint ? According to the official Nokia specs it is a viewer for Word, Excel, Powerpoint, pdf and Open Document format. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Sep 21 2011, 09:28 AM) I don't think that is a deal breaker for me. I paid RM14 for the Picsel Smart Office whose PDF viewer is miles ahead of the default viewer in performance. Viewing without editing is good enough for me. I can't imagine editing documents on a small phone screen.

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Sep 21 2011, 11:21 AM) The apps availability, should be a lot better than N900, so I think there's no much to worry about... Even now they have few nice games available for N9 before it was available, plus, they're encouraging and getting developers for the N9/MeeGo, even locally, so I think it's already make more difference comparing with N900 time.
Is there any good ebook reader for N900 which can be also used for N9? This post has been edited by KennyKB: Sep 21 2011, 12:14 PM

You can't compare raw processor power out of context. In daily use you won't get any difference in smoothness between N9 and SGII despite the difference in processor power. Android is a big lumbering OS which require a powerful CPU to run without lag. There is a big virtual machine between the UI and the hardware which slows everything down. Due to the power required Android phones are notoriously short in battery life.

QUOTE(nicholasbeh @ Sep 24 2011, 07:00 PM) not dead OS actually.20000 apps?lol..i wonder the memory enuf or not.lol 1GB memory is plenty. The N9 has been shown to multitask up to 10 apps without breaking a sweat. The real concern is whether essential apps will be there. I need ebook, internet streaming radio, dictionary and some other utilities as a minimum. I'm adopting a wait and see attitude.

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Sep 24 2011, 08:50 PM) He mean the build in storage memory. 64GB can filled easily if you install a lot apps, extra OS & saving bunch of hd videos. You're not going to get better than 64GB for any smartphone in the market now. Galaxy S2 has a 32GB model + support up to 32GB micro-SD card = 64GB. QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Sep 25 2011, 06:02 PM) IMHO the 16GB model price should be around SGS Plus price Nokia isn't trying to compete with SGS Plus or minus, in fact it isn't even trying to make N9 a big success. N9 is only being sold in minor markets which can't threaten SeaRay. Reports of N9 pulled from HK show that Nokia has limited quantities to sell.

QUOTE(heavy rain @ Sep 25 2011, 10:13 PM) i ask for N9 16gb version if there any or maybe the price for AP version around rm1.5, why not? RM1799 is ori? so AP maybe lower around 1.5k maybe? Lower AP price is only possible if the phone can buy cheaper elsewhere and parallel import in. Malaysia has the cheapest N9 price so far so there will be no AP model at cheaper price.

QUOTE(Upsilon @ Sep 27 2011, 12:37 PM) unless n9 is selling exceptionally well la, otherwise I don't think we will see batch 2 3 4 5 6? there was someone mentioning how boring this thread is compared to n8 before it released batch 2, 3,4...? I don't think it will happen unless Elop is forced to. The only reason Nokia releasing N9 is because of their agreement with Intel and Elop is grudgingly releasing it in minor markets with small populations. Major markets like U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy and Spain are reserved for SeaRay.

Ovi store now has a section for N9 apps. But don't get excited, only about 60 apps and 40 games for now. Where else can we get N9 apps?

QUOTE(biatch0 @ Sep 30 2011, 02:56 PM) Went to Gardens earlier, any amount is OK for the deposit, but they give higher priority to those who make larger deposits. So if not enough stock, sorry la for those who deposit RM50 only!!! They have 2 N9 on display at the Gardens. I already made full payment so hopefully can get the FOC BH-505 You made full payment without seeing the product? Sure or not?

If RM200 will secure the booking why pay full? Will you get your paws on it faster if you pay full? If the retailer is not honest he can sell your booking to someone else and keep making excuse that yours hasn't arrived yet. After all he has already got your money so you can wait. Don't think this cannot happen because it has happened to my friend before (not Nokia product).

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 30 2011, 05:58 PM) Installment u can do by swipe the card first then few days later call the bank request for installment. Why need to call the bank? Just make partial payment with the bill arrives. Of course you have to pay interest on the outstanding.

Fake N9 spotted in China. It has dual SIM and runs on a proprietary mutant OS that looks like a mish-mash of almost every mobile OS and UI under the sun. There are hints of Meego, iOS, HTC Sense, Symbian, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry, and Samsung’s TouchWiz. You get a 3.8-inch touchscreen pushing out lowly 240×400 pixel resolution and 1.3MP sensors for both the front and rear cameras. There’s also a microSD card slot, Bluetooth and FM radio. RM200 only! QUOTE(yeohsheng @ Oct 1 2011, 09:46 AM) any1 here haven preorder the nokia n9? u all say till it is like very very limited =.= Yes, there are quite a number of "kan cheong" N9 fans here but I don't think it will be a limited product. Celcom and Digi are going to offer N9 with data plan so it can't be one-batch-sold-out-and-no-more that sort of thing. Comparison with N900 is not correct as N900 was never meant to be a mass market product. Added on October 1, 2011, 10:03 amQUOTE(kiasunkiasi @ Oct 1 2011, 01:02 AM) Wanna ask : Since N9 already having Gorilla screen, do we need to put on protective sheet? Yes, it is better to put on a screen protector. Gorilla glass is scratch resistant, not scratch proof. Also you don't want dirt, dust and oil to get directly on your precious screen. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 1 2011, 10:17 AM) I still got my n900 with me I'll do comparison with the n9 when I get it. It's meant to compare because n9 is evolve from nokia n900 to show how and where have it changed I mean shouldn't compare in terms of availability, but functions and features of course can compare.
