I would like to know will there be any difference (in terms of feel) among brown switch keyboards from Filco, Ducky, Leopold and etc.

Or whether the feel would be more or less consistent among different brands.

Easily Google-able.

Generally, my Filco (Filcos in general) are plate-mounted while in my experience, the Leopold/Ducky are also plate-mounted.
My Noppoo Choc Mini on the other hand was not plate mounted and only PCB mounted.

PS: Anyone wants to share shipping on the Realforce 87U 45g? I'm gettin' itchy.
And I read somewhere that if you imported keyboards (PC accessories) along with a laptop, it is not taxable?

Untuk makluman tuan, pengimportan keyboard komputer tidak tertakluk kepada sebarang duti/cukai. Pengimportan barangan yang tidak tertakluk kepada sebarang duti/cukai tidak akan ditahan oleh pihak Kastam. Namun pengikraran dagangan perlu dilakukan dengan menggunakan borang Kastam No.1 dan membuat tuntutan pelepasan samada pergi sendiri ke stesen Kastam di mana dagangan tersebut di bawa masuk atau boleh melantik agen.


Diharap penjelasan ini dapat membantu dan memuaskan hati tuan/puan.

you got 2 doesn't means it's still widely available now, plus you mention it's 80`s.

Current widely available alps are Black and White version. while other colors are very rare now due to their production of such unique switch has been stop/axe. OR market demands aren't high, so these switch are considered as expensive due to the fact they need to be custom order.

So far, i do own filco, ducky and one old IBM kb. i don't sense much different in stabilizers issue on spacebar or enter. erm, well this might be personal flavor?

There's no doubt overall quality is better for Filco over Ducky. But you can't make a statement that looks like only Ducky fails. I just google with some keywords "filco keyboard failed" and what? Tadaa~ there are cases too!

You must be very unlucky for that Ducky unit. feel sorry for your case(s).  But you're in Singapore, i cant do much help here.

anyhow, here is Malaysia, not Singapore... Local Filco selling not cheap here. but yes Leopold is cheaper which offered by Bro Cyclonechua (good job lads )

The typing sensation with the white and black Ducky 9008 is different.. somehow the white feels less satisfying.. Felt softer and more linear although both being same model and carrying the same switch
