Quite tempted to get Leopold brown switch keyboard.
Are Leopold keyboards very similar to Filco in terms of feel and quality?

I am quite interested in getting another brownswitch mech keyboard for home usage.
Currently considering either Filco or Leopold. Are there any more brands that I can consider? Thanks. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 2 2011, 05:03 PM) Type faster and you will tend to leave off our finger before it bottom out. Thanks.Elseway, buy the silicon keyboard protecting sheet(full size one) and type with it on. It will not affect much on typing feel b4 key actuate but tend to limit(harder) when the key is deeply pressed. I never bottom out my blue b4 due to the thing. QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Oct 2 2011, 06:11 PM) actually, for beginner to learn touch typing, brown is more easier to learn since when you felt the "tactile bump" the switch is already activated that time, you can train yourself just by pressing the key until it reach tactile bump and release again. I have a Filco brown in the office.Brown is much more easier to learn compare to red. but i think it's all depends on your budget, if your budget allows it, you can try to get a brown to learn, well, i can imagine you would like to use brown after you use it for quite sometime. If your budget not allow, i think it's best that you stick with your Filco Red and train it the hard way. Btw, I am currently allowed to Distribute Topre Keyboard in malaysia now, will make a thread soon. Enjoyed typing on it immensely. I am thinking of getting Filco Ninja but I didn't see any in C-Zone @ Digital Mall yesterday. |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Oct 11 2011, 11:04 AM) Get from Cyclone, since it comes with warranty too, and probably cheaper. I thought so too.If you get from EK, then warranty bye bye. Realforce keyboards are great in the build quality and QC, but you will never know what happens tomorrow. Just wait for him to bulk the Realforce keyboards that I want. Ie. black and with numpads. |
