And your simplistic view of users is untrue. I have been tinkering with electronic stuffs though I know nuts about it since I started at age 24. I have learn c+ programming myself at same age. I buildup my own pc assembly it myself at age 30. I started flashing palm OS, symbian at age 30. I have been with this hobby till now in my late fifties. It is a matter of time management and discipline to pursue one interests. So not necessary only retirees has the time to do it. And just for your info my last job for past 10 years most of my time travelling overseas and only about 30% of time I am at home. Yet I can pursue my interest in keeping up with my gadgets

Can someone poison me to get Sensation .... I been eyeing IS ...havent read up much about Sensation ... any bad thing that I should know ?

I'm glad i got this phone but I had this issue for the past 3 days thats driving me crazy and have been searching up & down for a solution but to no avail.

Problem:
When i connect phone to PC using stock cable, the "Connect to PC" option should pop up or i can go to the notification bar to select what kind connection i want to do. But in my case it doesnt. Because of that, i cannot Sync, cannot use the "Diskdrive" mode etc. All it does is charging...

Here's a list of things that i have tried:
1) Using different USB cables (HTC, Samsung & BB).
2) Using different PC (Restarted).
3) Restart phone with battery taken out for 30s.
4) Uncheck & recheck the "Ask Me" option in Setting>>Connect to PC>>Ask Me
5) Mount & dismount SD Card
6) On & off USB de-bugging mode

I'm hoping this is not a hardware problem. Any1 can help?

i know what u mean...when u press the bottom right screen n the back cover...u will notice like the cover has not been properly put on n sometimes it will make tiny squeaky sound

try hard reset and if problem still persists, proceed to nearest HTC service center.

just talking abt the shoe, house or car without touching on its practical aspect is meaningless.

Trying to second guess CELCOM.AXIATA, i think he's merely meaning that for people who cannot be bothered to fool around with ROMs, addons, UI customization, etc etc and also those that dont think iPhone does enough, should choose Sensation as their daily driver. HTC Sense is beautiful in general, hence for a normal user, any additional mods are considered unnecessary.
The Sensation is a phone that works out of the box.

Guys, I've read around that Sensation's free Ram available was less than 200MB (with Sense 3.0 skin). So far to those owned it, any issue with it such as slowing down or slight lag issue with a few apps opened?

I'm thinking to get this smartphone mid of July. Thanks for the feedback

sensation offers the best balance, and i think Apple (and other manufacturers) shld learn from HTC Sense.
I've tried all versions of iOS, touchwiz, motoblur, and Google but the best in social integration is HTC Sense.
And after all, a phone is a device to be socially connected right?

I guess this will be the next Nexus? What happened to lg one?

all those r not official yet.. can consider as rumors also la then.. Nexus the 3rd is in the making but by whom or the specs are speculated greatly now.. lets just see.. but its safe to say that maybe not only the company who will make the nexus is preparing, few other manufacturers might also is in the works such as the leaked picture of unknown motorola without buttons etc.. few months left to wait, android 2.4 is not long ahead.. be patient .. still, waiting game is such a pain.. Nexus device also damn late officially available in Malaysia

I am happy and in love with Sense 3.0 and I am doing non root customization to my Sensation too... ahhhh... love in the air .. .. can't let her go. I even use ConnectBot to monitor my server in TRAIN...

Rumours are the spice of life. I was on d way to buy htc IS when I read abt sensation on gizmodo. Terus cancel and waites for it. Damn worth it. If next nexus is htc made, I'll buy it in a flash.

A quick update for battery performance on 4th charge cycle:
Started charging last night while battery level is at 20% at 9pm, left it charging overnight and unplug at 6am. with data download of +-100MB thru wifi on and off, 2-3 minutes of phone call, youtube of 5 minutes from 0830 until 1600, battery level is at 39%.

Screen brightness is about 10%, screen timeout 30 seconds, GSM/WCDMA Auto

Plus minus about 30-45 mins of playing time with trying applications downloaded, uninstallation and customisation throughout the period
