hey guys what up, today went to "lolyat" plaza to shop for case mate...got 1 propel shop have stock..and the lol part is they only got 1 tough and 1 barely there in the shop..and needa wait 1 day if u need 2..then i went to midvalley..touched the SGSII and i felt relieved, because i made the right choice...SGSII feels plasticky and kinda cheap..and the interface is too iphone-ish and not so creative and attractive...then i went to the garden and saw this cool HTC booth..and i tried my luck and asked for the case mate despite it isnt displayed in any of the cabinet..and they have like a lot of stock and it just came today lawl..then they quoted me rm139 and i bargain till rm99 as i need 2..

tfl;dr version:
1. lowyat propel got sell case mate..but they have only 1 in stock(tough and barely there).
2. Garden's HTC booth got stock for case mate(tough and barely there)..and remember to bargain as they quoted me RM139.(can go down to rm99).

my opinion toward the case mate Tough:
1. very solid and nice feel when holding it..
2. i felt safe everytime i hold my phone.
3. very beautiful looking(sexy).
4. i think it fixes the deathgrip abit..not confirmed tho..will try again

the bad:
1. made the phone bulky and added some weight.
2. quite hard to install it perfectly, but it doesnt bother me as u needa do it once only.
*
Thanks for the share. I'll over there tomorrow to get myself one smile.gif thumbup.gif

well for me i seldom hold it horizontally..so it doesnt affect me..and deathgrip doesnt really appear if the signal is strong enuf..only places with weaker signal will suffer...and after i got the new casemate..i think the problem is recrified...

If it wasn't for the reports, I wouldn't have noticed. Now that I know, it doesn't bother me and more importantly, it doesn't affect how I would normally use the phone. I didn't see how this affected Iphone4 sales and usage.

My 2 cents.

Death grip is not an issue. It is making a mountain out of mini molehill. One more,
month nobody will talk about it. Just like iphone antennagate. No one even rember it now n iphone still sell by million.

And the problem is, it's not even causing any death to me when I'm using wifi to surf. So no worries.

tested on a medium weak wifi, without case with no covering = -70dbm, with case = -67dbm, with palm covering antennae part + case on = -58dbm.. so, it does weaken but depending on your wifi signal strength and hand placement.. i dont use my phone with finger or palm covering back so no probs for me..

btw i replicated those on Galaxy S1, same issues.. it weakens too when i place palm at the back.. its not just sensation.. but what makes things look serious is the algorithm of how signal bar adjust to -dbms.. its quite too sensitive on Sensation thus making ppl go hype on the issue... check the dbm and u will know its not that bad

just take note when in weak wifi areas, to enhance or get max signal (yes, when its not covered and u set "wifi best performance", its damn good), try to not touch the weak spots.. and to be getting better, take of cover la.. it does help a bit.. but for me no need, got decent and not so bad.. without case and set wifi best, the signal is better compared to desire HD in my opinion.. cuz ive tested both side by side in my room previously

Yeah, you can download voice anything. The only think that need license is the navigation.
