I just did my SOHO unit and I am very satisfied with Mr. Sam's services. Hence promised him to return him a favor by posting here.

He is friendly, and always listen and meet my needs. Although i'm a bit fussy when it comes down to details, he always there to solve my problems.
I am surprised that he is also an interior designer. Ideas he has given to me are mush more practical and stylish. For my Soho, I has a wall full with air-con, window access to air-con compressor, TV area, and he manage to hide all the mess with beautiful design with functional cabinet.
The carpentry workmanship is good, and they will go all the way for perfection, even a minor crack on the edge, they will just change and replace whole laminates for me. The outcome of the actual carpentry is almost 90% close to the 3D I get initially.

However he bit late on delivery, I'm not too sure is it my fault that i keep ask him to change things around, but ultimately i'm happy with his service, his price isn't too expensive compare to a few contractor/ID that i ask for quotes. Will definitely work with him again in my future house.  biggrin.gif

Hi all,
I have a condo in Bkt Jalil area, which my side yard has a steel window opening.
I plan to remove the steel, and change to aluminium sliding window.
Anyone has a good contact for aluminium contractor?
If anyone can quote me also, the window is around 1630 high, 1860 wide.

yesterday Mr. U did the finishing until almost 9pm with his workers.
I am very satisfied with his service.
clean my whole house with acid even for those places not touched by his renovation.

I can say he is very responsible and won't simply charge you.
Most of the time he did not charge me anything for some simple work.

His quotation is the cheapest yet the outcome is impressive.
Good value for money.

Rest a sure he will response to my message promptly every day.
some even at 11pm.

but lately his wife just gave birth, he is slightly busy with taking care of her daughter.
yet he manage to finish my house on time and in good manner.

definitely will recommend him
Too bad he don't want to do cheras area anymore (my house at cheras) claiming it's too far.
haha

his main contract area is puchong and PJ.

I think better to engage specialist for each area. Gen con/other specialties dunno how to wire up correctly one.
Planning on who comes first is important. As the hacking/wet works/plaster ceiling/concealed electrical sockets should come first. Then only paint over or tile over. Lastly only install fittings (kitcab, bed, wardrobe).

Kitcab folks
a. Kitchen cabinet
b. Customize bunk bed
c. Bedroom wardrobes
e. Bathroom cabinet
h. TV cabinet
k. Storage cabinet at entrance, living room and yard
n. Kitchen sliding door and windows installation

Usually this and sliding windows (glass+alu frame stuff) by the windows/shower screen folks
d. Shower screen

Proper electrician recommended especially for f.
f. Add power outlets
j. Ceiling light and fan installation

Plaster ceiling/drywall folks.
i. Plaster ceiling(Optional)
g. Add interior wall (faux wall/drywall?)

Painter or paint yourself lah.
l. Paint work

Tiling sifu. Wet works folks.
m. Wall tiles installation

I recently had my father's 51 years old house renovated in Cheras. It is not a lavish type of renovation but just to provide a breath of fresh air into the house. After going through a pain staking survey on the work quality and corresponding prices from various renovation contractors, we have finally decided to engage one in the 2nd week of December.

The main reason why I have chosen this contractor is plainly because he is extremely patience attending to all of my questions especially when I am not an expert in this field while trying to understand how things work, the schedule of his refurbishment work, the type of materials that he is using and etc. Believed me, even my husband "beh tahan" me with all the questions at times. blush.gif He went through things one by one in layman's term, making me very comfortable especially knowing that he knew exactly what he is doing.

As I am no longer staying with my parents, he took the liberty to sent me the progress photos on a daily basis. The depth of the foundation, the size of the steel bar used, the tiles installation work where all wall tiles are pre soaked (with video showing bubbles emerging from the tiles, omg!) He is very accommodating especially when I have made certain last minute changes also he is alright with it. The electrical cables used for our entire house is also a branded one according to him. I was told that the wires can last for at least a good 15 to 20 years time and the brand is either Maga or Mega, I cant quite remember. He took a lot of photos on the wire used, displaying the brand printed on the wire prior to burying them into the wall in pvc conduit.

Since the wall is old, there are aging plaster, peeled of paint and also uneven surfaces. These are carefully attended, replastered and painted. The wooden door jam and wood made louvered windows have also been removed, making way for the new door and alum windows. The mold on external wall are being washed using water jet (this was shown in video too, knowing me devil.gif) prior to applying new paint.

There was a delay in their work due to the recent MCO lockdown but our contractor made their way back and continue with their work in mere one week after the lockdown. They managed to secure their work approval and assuring us he is able to complete his job before CNY. Finally, he managed to complete his work on last Friday. The whole house has been thoroughly washed and cleaned. I am very satisfied and happy with his work. Overall, he is a responsible & committed contractor.

I would recommend him to anyone who is interested, especially to those who has very little idea of what renovation is all about.

That is an exemplary contractor. If I guess correctly it will be Mega Kabel (one of the top tier cable mfg in MY, JKR also spec this in their project BOM). All proper cables (that meet spec) are NOT afraid to print their brand name on the cable because they are confident that their product meets the required spec. Those who have something to hide will NOT want to display their brand on their products.
