The last time I notice the red alarm led (in middle of console) keeps blinking even while I'm driving. 3 blink interval...did not know why until I notice later when i tried to lock car, my boot is open. Not sure but you can try to see if boot not close, the alarm led will blink or not.

Macam, ini I also want 1 set Iridium. RM160. Got expiry date kah.. tongue.gif

Still need to wash them, lazy whistling.gif  If no reoiling, then the performance do goes down vs with reoiling, is it not. Some more cleaning by washing later might not perform as good as a good new air filter. Still wonders, if can have higher airflow means its paper holes are bigger, means more dust will go thru vs original paper filter. Sorry for being sceptic but thats my main concern.

After install the air filter, pick up got difference. More power.
Washing is not a problem. Closing back the air filter cover is.
Always take a long time to close back the cover. rclxub.gif

So this Simota filter is a dry filter...I assume, not oiled. Wash with chemical if I'm not wrong reading from Kent Goh thread somewhere.

LOL no expiry date lah.. haha.. Iridium would never rust.. Ok when want to collect?

Yeah performance filters give more air flow at the expense of filtration efficiency.. For example like the most popular ones (K&N), the filtration is very poor.. In US or most parts of europe its suitable due to the lower pollution and cleaner air.. If u were to used that in Msia, our roads are dusty, dirty, lorries drive pass with black smoke etc etc, low filtration will allow those sand and fine particles to bypass the filtration.. Thats where the oiling kit comes in to help.. The oil actually catches the fine particles which otherwise the standard filtering elements wont be able to catch.. In the works engineering one, the filtering element comprise of a stainless steel mesh with a non woven fabric in the middle.. The fabric is the ones that fucntions like a paper filter, giving good filtration and doesnt need reoiling..

LOL.. Just put the filter in the bottom tray.. then take the top tray cover over it and give it a shake.. If there is freeplay then the top cover isnt properly aligned.. Once the top cover drops into place u cant slide it around at all..

It comes pre-oiled from factory.. And u just need to wash it with clean running water.. Dont use soap as u will wash away the factory pre-oil.. Chemicals is not necessary also.. Its more of just a gimmick to get slightly extra cleanliness from ur filter.. The important thing is u do cleaning on schedule.. Then ur engine would perform optimally..

The red led if still blinking after starting your engine, means your alarm triggered before.

I'm using iridium for my City VTEC (original already iridium), its really good. Change at 80K mileage, power straight comes back and much easier to start.

I work in KL but live in Klang....have to arrange ler. Unless you pass by Menara Citibank during working hour or Empire Gallery (subang) after office hour. I will try arrange sometimes in next 2 weeks.

Not not exactly.. If like say u didnt close ur door or bonnet or boot properly and u lock ur car.. Then the alarm will beep 4 times.. the LED also will start blinking.. To stop it from blinking u need to close the doors properly, lock it and unlock it again to reset the alarm.. If u dont do that then the led will continue to blink even when engine started and u are driving.. But there is no harm in it lah.. I have driven with the led blinking b4, no performance problem or engine cutting off..

think the other way round lah, like this means all the door switch is not looping together if some one try to steal your car it make them abit difficult loh, and also when the bonet or boot open the room light inside will not lid on together, anyway if the bonet or boot not close properly when arlam will make beep sound, the number of beep sound already tell you which door has not close properly and it means it will still guard and protect in the arlarm system.

Does that also means if boot forget to lock, THERE is an indication from the alarm LED rather than the door light.

I will be at gallery on either Monday or Tuesday next week and available by 8pm. Usually there twice weekly for swimming until 7.30pm++. Too skinny to do gym with those muscle bound guys around.... sweat.gif

If you want to go fitness first on saturday afternoon also can (if you're not already a member).....i can bring you in smile.gif

Wei, the button i thought is to unlock doors? can reset the led thingy mehh...

Don't know eh, feels like going to a wiring job to link all together to get the bonnet and trunk shows indicator when they're not closing properly. I search back the old thread, some people say their Persona (not PE) got indicator when trunk is opened, but some claims don't have.

Joke for you guys

When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch the stomach and saying "congrats".
But, none of them come and touch the man's penis and say "Good job".

Moral of the story: "Hard work is never appreciated” LOL

Alternate moral of the story....."most takes the easy way out, human nature". Why, coz we know the woman was involved in the process, but are we sure its THAT man's penis that completed the task....so congrat the woman is sure fire correct but....if congrat the wrong man...
