The last time I notice the red alarm led (in middle of console) keeps blinking even while I'm driving. 3 blink interval...did not know why until I notice later when i tried to lock car, my boot is open. Not sure but you can try to see if boot not close, the alarm led will blink or not.
Macam, ini I also want 1 set Iridium. RM160. Got expiry date kah..
Still need to wash them, lazy

If no reoiling, then the performance do goes down vs with reoiling, is it not. Some more cleaning by washing later might not perform as good as a good new air filter. Still wonders, if can have higher airflow means its paper holes are bigger, means more dust will go thru vs original paper filter. Sorry for being sceptic but thats my main concern.
LOL no expiry date lah.. haha.. Iridium would never rust.. Ok when want to collect?
Yeah performance filters give more air flow at the expense of filtration efficiency.. For example like the most popular ones (K&N), the filtration is very poor.. In US or most parts of europe its suitable due to the lower pollution and cleaner air.. If u were to used that in Msia, our roads are dusty, dirty, lorries drive pass with black smoke etc etc, low filtration will allow those sand and fine particles to bypass the filtration.. Thats where the oiling kit comes in to help.. The oil actually catches the fine particles which otherwise the standard filtering elements wont be able to catch.. In the works engineering one, the filtering element comprise of a stainless steel mesh with a non woven fabric in the middle.. The fabric is the ones that fucntions like a paper filter, giving good filtration and doesnt need reoiling..

After install the air filter, pick up got difference. More power.
Washing is not a problem. Closing back the air filter cover is.
Always take a long time to close back the cover.

LOL.. Just put the filter in the bottom tray.. then take the top tray cover over it and give it a shake.. If there is freeplay then the top cover isnt properly aligned.. Once the top cover drops into place u cant slide it around at all..

So this Simota filter is a dry filter...I assume, not oiled. Wash with chemical if I'm not wrong reading from Kent Goh thread somewhere.
It comes pre-oiled from factory.. And u just need to wash it with clean running water.. Dont use soap as u will wash away the factory pre-oil.. Chemicals is not necessary also.. Its more of just a gimmick to get slightly extra cleanliness from ur filter.. The important thing is u do cleaning on schedule.. Then ur engine would perform optimally..
