Need to gather some info from the PE owner here.

1. Does your door-open indicator (the red icon) lit up when your rear boot not closing properly.

2. Same question as number 1, but with front bonnet open. Does it lit up or not?

Mine a H-Line So best if H-Line owner can lend a hand here.

The red led if still blinking after starting your engine, means your alarm triggered before.

Driving with the led on really scary, though it was the immobiliser working or what..

Wei, the button i thought is to unlock doors? can reset the led thingy mehh...

Don't know eh, feels like going to a wiring job to link all together to get the bonnet and trunk shows indicator when they're not closing properly. I search back the old thread, some people say their Persona (not PE) got indicator when trunk is opened, but some claims don't have.

dcautoworld is the best Proton salesman. Very efficient & bestest offer with free gift. Although i never buy any car from him, but from the feedback, i will look for him the next time.

Wei, PE got immobiliser ahhh.. There's a transponder chip inside your remote. Try go start your engine with a dupe key, it won't even crank...

Proton transponder and receiver is very low-frequency (low power)..

Not driving a MT. But my problem as below, 1 year ownership.

1. PE dies off a few time in the middle of road then shows CEL (check engine light). -solved by sending back to CoSE to update ECU firmware

2. PE dies off when reversing from my car pouch in cold condition. -solved at the same time with problem number 1

3. Car will surge violently to front when stopping in traffic light when the foot on brake (a/c compressor kick in). -solved, but still will jerk a little by little when a/c comp kick in, but not that violent like before

4. One of the DC motor fan not working (even with a/c on also not working), cause the car to overheat and auto shutdown when driving inside indoor parking -solved by updating the ECU

5. Weird noise when doing u-turn on uneven road, sounds like something knocking each other. (Suspect power steering fluid line as mentioned in first post????) -Not solve yet. They say is like this worrrr.. any idea to argue with them or any other SC to claim?

6. Stereo control on the steering not contacting the button, cannot function. [-solved by replacing the double sided adhesive in CoSE.

Hehehe.. 2k complete alarm system. Wait everything finalize only show u everything lo.

2k comes with the keypad, keyless start (go), keyless entry worr.. Expensive meh? You dont even need to take out the remote and press.. just walk near the car, open door, push start, go !

It's the same carrying with the keys. Well, if one steal your keys they can drive your car away too, no??

Don't tell stupid things here telling how people steal the keypad can drive away with the car. If one steal your key & remote, can't they do the same thing?? Duplicate the keypad, why not you try to duplicate first before you start to talk?

I can duplicate your remote & transponder too, no?

The siren sound is adjustable to siren or melody, which i think the tune is similar to our stock digital siren.

Sometimes it's better not to make a statement that will make yourself look like a fool.

Easier to steal? The doors itself doesn't unlock if it's not close within the proximity, still better compare to your remote. Your remote work in a range of how many meter, for like 10 meter huh?
If i stole your remote/key, don't you think i can drive away with your car too??

Added on June 27, 2011, 11:54 amTighten the wiper nut, it is probably loose. Try taking the wiper to work at full speed, and see if it hits on your A-pillar or not. If it does, adjust the wiper and tighten the nut. If you don't know what you're doing, send back to SC to get the job done.

Hahahaa... I think no one on earth will pass the key to others lorrrrrr, especially one that afraid someone might duplicate your key/remote or pick your pocket.

You want to keep the engine running? Keep the remote inside the car, use the digital entry from the windscreen.

With the engine off? Press on the remote.
