Hi All,

Can HP DV6001 TX match the new Asus Lamborghini VX7 Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM quad-core processor?
*
Why not? It's the same model of processor.

Actually, I think the drivers are all in the C drive already but before installation it still prompts me to select drivers with an error message device/driver not found... I've googled it but they recommended formatting using ms-dos so I'm doing it now.... cry.gif

Hi Acid,

Yes. Strange enough for mine there is a dialog asking me to install driver right after I click install now button... BTW, I am installing Win 7 by USB drive. But I dun think it's that problem. Anyway, what i did was to use command prompt and repartition my drive into my desired volume sizes and now I'm restoring using HP recovery. Hopefully will be restored and I plan to upgrade to Win 7 Ultimate after done restoring...fingers crossed.... smile.gif

Managed to restore my win7 back to original home premium but restoring it has also restored the partition back to original sizes...sad.gif. I notice that there is a system partition, am I allowed to delete that partition?

Hey guys, I have been thinking of upgrading my current HDD into Intel X-25M SSD, so I have a question now, is the recovery DVD that created can be used for the new SSD?

May I consult how you do it? Just plugged in the cable and press F4?

I'm not sure about it, bcoz the HDD driver does not match~ While, the bootloader will be missing after recovery into a new HDD. SO, you need to rebuild bootloader if u success recovery it into SSD. Hence, you may need a bootable window software to rebuild the bootloader. Go try it out ^^

200MB partition? I think that's where the bootloader is located. Not safe to delete.

I think not possible since the recovery will repartition your HDD to its original state.. unless ur SSD is 750GB.. i think there'll be a problem.

Yeah.. just press F4 and select if you want it as duplicate screen or extended screen.

I think possible to make it, bcoz window 7 will auto detect the driver and renew it i guess. Those original OS and factory image were implanted direct copy from the main disc. should be no fine. If got error after recovery, just use window repair to repair it.

Since I have another external copy of Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64bits, then I think most likely I would use the copy to do a clean format rather than the recovery. Anyway thanks for you guys.
