Vox card has its disadvantages. It credit the rebates next month... Eg you spend 1k on Jan, they will credit it end of Feb. So Jan u still need to pay in full
*
I shall post here on my rebate timing later, the t&c sounds confusing

@keeycheng
Call the UOB hotline to ask, usually they will give rebate provided you use their card regularly and payment on time

Do UOB one card annual fees can be waiver? Except to spend 36k per year
*
just call their customer service, annual fee can be waived easily. not likely they will refuse to waive since the credit card market is so competitive now

How does UOB determine iif it's an Online Purchases  ?
Is it via MCC ?
*
i think online purchase refers to online transactions which do not require signatures. I think it includes recurring payments too. Those which are excluded from 5% rebates are Insurance/govt related payments and utilities, MCC 5968. actually i have uploaded the attachment before on the specific MCC codes which do not qualify for 5% rebate. you can search few pages back

I think UOB charges about 2.7% above the middle rate of VISA foreign exchange rate instead of 1% for GBP to MYR. Has it happen to anyone here?
*
I also noticed their number after conversion is rather high, can match mbb amex already

Why bother to carry 6 cards

6 cards x RM50 GST = RM300 paid to govt pocket every year.

Carry what you need la.

One for every day usage - cash rebate card
Another for airport lounge (In case you love to travel and want to enjoy the lounge) or some special offer (Citi Blue for their Coffee Bean 1 to 1 offer)
Another for dining offers (We are Malaysians, we live to eat).  drool.gif

Personally, i only carry 2 cards. UOB One card is one of them coz i can get cash rebate anytime i spend the card. Consolidate all my spend in 1 card and make sure i will make payment to avoid late charges and finance charges. Another is Citi Blue coz i am a hardcore CB lover (See you there)

Too many card only confuses our life.
*
There are pros and cons on holding so many cards, gst is a concern however the cash rabates and merchant discounts may outweigh the gst charge

A little update on UOB VOX card

The 5% online transaction rebate is calculated based on calendar month basis instead of statement cycle

usually when is the best time to ask for a waive on annual fees and gst? i've just started using my card 2 weeks ago and already swiped 12 times..hahaha..mostly on petrol and dining. Is it after the 1st statement or before the cards turn 1 year?
*
Since you are a new customer, annual fee will be waived automatically for the first year. You will also receive RM 50 cash back

forgive my noob-ness:
VOX card: swipe once a month to waive rm6 fees.
"swipe" can be online transaction or only purchase at merchants?

One card: now its 12 swipes to annual fees or need more swipes?
*
so far i only use it for online transaction, no monthly fee charged

annual fee can be easily waived if it is charged, no need to worry bout it
