2. UOB offers RM50 cash back to almost every cardholder, mostly upon request.  I used to own 2 uob cards, when i wanted to cancel one of it, they still offer me the rebate (the other card is new, also got the new application RM50 cash back). Therefore it is very likely that you can get the RM 50 cash back. If you call the CS to cancel due to gst and they did not offer you anything, then you wait for cancellation dept staff to call you around 1 week later, most likely you will get it. I got the offer even my usage was around 1k only for the last year

3. whenever you say you want to cancel your card, they will most likely offer you 5 year waiver on annual fees without condition

New card RM50 rebate yes but if you consider that as GST offset. About calling CS to cancel and get GST waiver need more member who experienced this to give comment (I think MBB don't practice this). Just hope UOB have more joint promotion with merchant to offer discount. I have once enjoyed once 10% discount at XianDingWei Taiwanese Tea Room.
*
A few members here got their retention offer already. I got it twice. MBB does not practise it so far.

True that UOB has limited merchant offer in Malaysia but in SG, there are a lot

there's no 2 months instalment plan, i think minimum is 6 or 12 months. minimum 2% upfront admin charge

I just called UOB again after they had their system maintenance done today at 6.30pm.

I requested to change my billing cycle to be 2nd of every month & it was successful !.. yeay...  rclxm9.gif

But before that, I tried the machine answer thingy to check my CC balance, choose individual card & the machine stated that choice no. 1 is for MasterCard & choice no. 2 is for VISA.

So far, I did not received any MasterCard from UOB.  hmm.gif

I asked the CS about that, he said they sent me the MasterCard already & even gave me the consignment number BUT that consignment number was for the VISA card that I redeemed it myself at Bangi POSLAJU since the POSLAJU failed to deliver it.  vmad.gif

Is it when we applied for the UOB One Card, we will get the both VISA & MASTERCARD versions? I noob again...  unsure.gif
*
maybe the agent applied 2 for you while you only requested for 1. not sure whether you will get cash back of RM50 for 1 card only or both cards

RM50? burnt in no time at pub yawn.gif

tapi, kepuasan maksimum brows.gif

actually you can call the CS to cancel, if they don't offer you anything then go ahead cancel it. They will then suspend your cc, you don't cut it first. Around 1 week later, their cancellation dept will call you again, by this time they will most likely offer you the retention offer.

cc market is too competitive now, so many banks are trying to expand market share

Smartcash for GSC only valid if buy at counter?

The 5% cash rebate for movies applicable for both GSC and TGV online purchase?

A sales agent called me offering me 0% balance transfer for 6 months, 1% for 12 months.

RM50 GST will be offset if swipe 3 times and no annual fees for 2 years.

ADDED :

damn, just read that CB only applicable for GSC on the counter. Don't really queue for tickets nowadays and I have both OCBC and Maybank2card now.

Thinking should I apply for it then

Called up the CS, my gosh they have upgraded their new swipe requirement for platinum card, at least 12x + $36k spending per year!! but for new card, they will waive the annual fee for first 2 years....I think I better change to classic sad.gif
*
if they charge you annual fee, just tell them that you want to cancel it. they will waive 5 years annual fee for you without any condition. GST rebate also will give to you. no need to worry at all!

been there done that

I beginning to think it is impossible to get to speak to the CS agent. The call centre is always busy. UOB don't have a dedicated toll free line?

It seems that there's no more automatic waiver of Annual Fee (not GST).

Last time u swipe x no. of times a year and/or spend min. RMx a year u get automatic waiver, but now no more.
*
ask for it then. dont give then tell them straight away that you want to cancel it. they will then offer you 5 years waiver without any condition
