Just saw the TnC for VOX card. Need minimum amount of RM50 per transaction only can get the 5% CB?

Damn, if so I've been conned into applying as I thought all online transaction will have the CB.

ADD : and need to pay RM6 if don't have any transaction that month? How come I don't see that in the TnC
*
no minimum spend to qualify for the cash rebate as i know. yes, you need to have at least 1 transaction per month, i think is calendar month

Crap man, mine just approved and sent to me though I haven't received. Is it possible for me to cancel the card and not pay the RM50 GST.

I've been given wrong info about the card. No point use for 1 month then as I thought this card can cover my online transaction which like buying movie tickets etc which does not cost more than RM50 per transaction.
*
they will give you RM50 cash rebate, you got nothing to lose. just use first. almost 1 year if the card does not suit you then cancel

UOB is very troublesome in terms of some procedures, most of them cannot do online or on phone, you need to go to their branch or write in

Just got a call from the bank, offering me the VOX card. I'm interested with the 0% EPP thing (for 6months, then 1% onwards) for purchases above RM1k.

Ques is.. do I really need another card, since I just got my One card? What does the VOX benefit than the One card.. in terms of, lets say buying furniture, tv, etc.?
*
vox card is mainly good for online transaction rebate only. for the epp, make sure there is no upfront or service charge

QUOTE(sweetie_viking @ Aug 2 2013, 10:34 AM)
got meh? i just used my vox recently for an overseas spend and the rates were ok, mah. last few months i used my mbb amex and that one was really very high.
*
UOB VOX
03 JUN SGD 14.22 = RM36.11 2.539
05 JUN SGD 99.00 = RM252.17 2.547
13 JUL SGD 66.30 = RM171.41 2.585 *99.65%=2.576

MBB AMEX
27-Jul-13 S$39.80 RM103.22 2.593
21-Jul-13 S$98.00 RM254.41 2.596
20-Jul-13 S$4.65 RM12.08 2.598 *98%=2.546
29-Jun-13 S$26.00 RM67.38 2.591
22-Jun-13 S$133.84 RM345.74 2.583
15-Jun-13 S$53.10 RM137.28 2.585
18-May-13 S$133.83 RM331.66 2.478

cant find exact comparison but you look at the 13 Jul VOX 2.585, given the fact that it has only 0.35% rebate normally, compare with Amex 5 times points (now equivalent to 2% rebate).

27th July AMEX is the most recent transaction where as SGD has appreciated quiet substantially, the rate was only 2.593 while you look at 13th July UOB rate is already 2.585. I think the difference is already very obvious

the above comparison is only for SGD, can't really justify but SG is UOB's HQ, given the rate is so disappointing, i think no need to see elsewhere

was pissed of by UOB for not:
1. waive rm50 tax
2.  worst still, don't want to waive the annual fee
I am using the Plat Cash Bak.
Anyone have better luck?

just tell them to cancel it, 1 week later their cancellation dept will call you back to confirm the cancellation, you may get something from them.
