Hi, Can this anthena receive digital tv signal?

Was able to receive analog/ digital tv from top floor( near window- not very good/stable), go to ground floor difficult to get signal( 90%+ unusable ) analog being more usuable

I bought this from lazada, not bad. I replace the given 10 meter 3c2v cable to custom length RG6 cable.

Really hopeless especially on NTV7 channels...
Nowadays I only watch their news.. Others than that..what to watch... CJ WOW Shop whole day.. Even on weekend 😴😕

Down south in kluang,only HD5 is stable,the rest are okay on certain days and times,sometimes no signal,and channels do go missing   The same applies to msian channels jerks badly at times! So if given a choice njoi or mytv ,my take wl be njoi

You aim at which satellite to watch what channels?
And btw, Malaysia FTA channels is sucks. It is considered normal for a Malaysian to not watch those channels.

Unlikely, because Astro > Measat while MYTV > Asiasat one.

AVS+, definitely no...
If you want satellite receiver that supports AVS+, then you can just get a China satellite receiver that supports AVS+...
Or look for the one that supports both H.264 and AVS+ over DVB-T2 and S2...

The MyTV you saw in the chart, it is for South Asia channel, unrelated to Msia MYTV and I don't think M'sia MYTV platform will not utilised C-band for downlink.

You mean use your existing Njoi dish to receive both Njoi and MYTV?
Technically you can't.

Astro/Njoi is on Measat 3/3a/3b 91.5 °E, while myFreeview is on Asiasat 9 122 °E
One dish is West, another is East. You can't combine both into one cuz both are totally opposite direction.

You need separate dishes, for both Njoi/Astro and MYTV.

It is on ABS 2 75 °E. MYTV uses C band as their satellite backhaul for their TV channels. It downlink from satellite to the main digital TV transmitters site's big satellite dish, so that viewers will be able to receive the channels via DTT platform. So you can say that, the myFreeview channels you're watching on DTT myFreeview now, is actually being "relayed" from satellite. MYTV have to use reliable satellite backhaul like C band instead of Ku band, as there's no rain fade problems.

Don't get excited yet. The satellite signal reception is very very weak till the point where the usual 6 feet dish won't be able to detect the channels. You need a satellite dish as big as 12 feet (3.65 metres) to receive it. MYTV tries to keep this info as confidential as possible, meaning they don't really want the public to know la.. And even if you have 12 feet dish and you can receive the signal, don't expect it will be free-to-air (FTA)...

This is what my reliable source tells me, but I can't 100% confirm it, but do tell me if you have more accurate info about it.

So how about the Asiasat 9 one? Well, MYTV just uplink the channels to Asiasat 9 satellite, and then downlink again to viewers who wish to receive MYTV channels via satellite (Ku band). The Ku band signal from Asiasat 9 is pretty strong to receive on a 65cm dish, but it is encrypted, so you need MYTV box to watch it.

I would say, nobody will go look for 12 feet dish... And definitely, after convert to MYR, it will costs few thousands... So just forget about it. LOL...

You see, 11490 V 45000, this transponder on Asiasat 9, belongs to MYTV, so basically they can decide whether the channels is encrypted or not.
The thing for sure is, if they make it free-to-air, many would opt for not buying MYTV hybrid DVB-S2+T2 box anymore cuz.they can just buy any compatible universal satellite receiver, and also like those cheap China ones, to receive it. And yalaa, not certified by MCMC and don't have the "MCMC" logo one.
And once again, MYTV rugi again if this happens... 

It is the same concept as as Astro on why all RTM and Media Prima channels are encrypted on Astro.

And also, the Asiasat 9 satellite's Ku band beam that MYTV uses, also covers entire Indonesia. So, broadcast content rights could be an issue too.

And yes~ myFreeview (MYTV) channels via satellite can be received in Indonesia and also with strong signal reception, if you smuggle in MYTV's hybrid DVB-S2+T2 box into the country and enjoy it yourself. Duh, Malaysia FTA channels so nice to watch meh?
