Ok. Haha really have to find some time to play around. coz now mostly on streaming so didn't really bother my old receiver and dish.
*
Internet streaming to watch live channels and movies is nowadays trend and Satellite streaming is like a back up. Olders like my parents mostly are preferring Astros/NJOI /MYTV. But for rural places, where internet is snail slow speed, satellite streaming would be the best choice.

These add-ons, can be accessed in Malaysia without restriction, right?
Is it available in HD? Or only in SD quality?
How about subtitles language? Can choose which language you prefer?
*
It's HD. I don't think you can change subtitle/ language.

I know the legal way is using Toggle, but you can't watch SG live TV channels from Toggle in Malaysia sad.gif
Unless you know how to bypass it? Using VPN?
*
I watched with Toggle just now without bypassing.

can you get reception in sibu right now through bukit singallang? hmm.gif  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

It's possible at certain area in Sibu. But extremely difficult at my house, even external antenna is set 3 meter height from rooftop, signal reception is still not stable. I am waiting for transmission tower at Bukit Lima to operate because it's nearby.

Go for combo STB S2+T2, but you need to have parabola. If you have more budget, go for S2+T2 +Android box 👍

agreed, no need to use parabola. just use byond dish is enough to get satellite channels whistling.gif  whistling.gif
*
Yeah, small satellite dish is good enough to gain KU band channels from one /two satellites, especially Chinasat 11, Measat or Apstar 7. Big parabola+actuator is recommended for C band and multiple satellites like 10 😘

yay
when i buy i wan higher pole...but the seller only got this...and i never tot digital reception little block by roof also cannot  sweat.gif
but now even can get higher pole...i might need extend the cable...now the cable ngam ngam only
When the pole is too long like 3m, which I tried before, it will start to swing expecially when strong wind hit on it. Signal reception will be affected too. You need to have a strong and more stable footing.

MYTV collaborates with TM, especially dealing with TV transmitters, and stuff.

But MYTV is still a private company.
*
And TM is a private company as well. But some how TM is like 'controlled' by government. It's so confusing their 'relationship'.

Did Mytv broadcasted through Asiasat 9 already?
Only MYTV S2 decoder could view the channels?

QUOTE(joshhd @ Mar 7 2019, 10:18 PM)
MYTV already begin to relay its channels to Asiasat 9 on the transponder 11490 V 45000 (Frequency of 11490MHz, Vertical polarisation, symbol rate of 45000). But it appears that they have not publicly allow every Hybrid MYTV box users to receive via satellite, even they receive the hybrid box for free. And yes, only MYTV hybrid box can view those channels, as it is encrypted, not free to air (FTA) on satellite.

Satellite version of MYTV (DTH, direct-to-home) is meant for viewers who is unable to receive DTT signals due to whatever reasons (e.g. too far away from transmitter, obstructions, other surrounding factors, etc.) because satellite can guarantee 100% coverage across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, while DTT coverage reception for now is more than 95.3% in human populated areas for now.

Thanks for the detailed info.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Mar 7 2019, 10:37 PM)
Dang it. Actually no need encryption so ppl can use parabola to watch.
*
Yeah... True. Like Singapore and Indonesia channels, some are FTA. Not like Malaysia, those programmes where got premium and high quality, why need to be encrypted.
