If your UHF antenna is still in good condition, then I don't see the need to buy a new antenna. 1) Do make sure your TV supports built-in DVB-T2 standard for digital TV.
If your TV doesn't support digital TV or only supports DVB-T standard, you got to buy a digital TV set-top-box which you can get one from MYTV, or buy to a brand new TV that supports DVB-T2.
2) Try power off your masthead amplifier (the white box, near your TV), and see if you can receive digital TV signals.
3) Do you have this thing in between the connection from TV to your rooftop antenna? If you don't have this, then just ignore.

Are you able to receive digital TV signals now?
