Test it with computer monitor or other TV, if working then it's the tv problem, if still not working, maybe it's STB problem. This post has been edited by work_tgr: Apr 21 2019, 12:20 AM

QUOTE(dayojah @ Apr 14 2019, 05:12 PM) Loops are very simple. Take some 75 Ohm coax like the white satellite cable. Strip back the plastic outer sheath about 46cm. Strip back the braid and foil, leaving a couple of cm to make a stub . Trim back the inner core insulation about 1cm. Bend the inner core into a loop and connect the end to the braid stub. This should make a loop of 46~47cm circumference. I tested this on a network analyser at work to get the length right, a loop only has a bandwidth of about 100MHz I made this indoor antenna, work just fine. My house is less than 3km from the new launched transmission tower, yet MUX 1 is so difficult to find its position to receive signals while MUX 2 is much easier. Even near to windows, only certain places in house could receive MUX 1 signals. I thought it should be working this way, where antenna is placed and just rotate it left or right to get the strongest signal like analogue TV, but it doesn't. I need to relocate the whole antenna. Why like this? QUOTE(ajay67 @ Apr 24 2019, 10:02 AM) No, it isn't. This post has been edited by work_tgr: Apr 24 2019, 05:26 PM

QUOTE(joshhd @ Apr 30 2019, 09:49 PM) What makes you think all 1.6 millions are even watching? I bet majority of them keep their MYTV box in the store room. Hahaha.... I bet most of them sell it, at the end still have 1.6 million users 😆

QUOTE(kwokwah @ May 1 2019, 08:06 AM) Give opportunity to installer to make more money like Astro installer. Can even give you free decoder provided we install for you Got private installer (not MYTV authorised) out there, installation charge even more expensive than NJOI's.

QUOTE(ajay67 @ May 2 2019, 03:06 PM) got the chance to visit my wife kampong yesterday in masjid tanah, melaka. previously we i managed to get the standard 11 TV channels. but yesterday all channels were gone. since the antenna is of auto-rotate type, i rotated the positions & no matter which direction, i can only get 5 tv channels. this 5 channels are the same as the one i got at my home in bangi. suxx. Yup, this happens to my place at Sibu, Sarawak. To receive Mux 1 which has CJWOW channels is very difficult. You need to move around to find the specific 'spot' which has signals, a little move away from the spot will cause the signals vanish instantly. My house is less than 3km from the transmission tower, theoretically it should be easy to receive signals, but it doesn't. Outdoor antenna is even worse than indoor, maybe 'over power'. Good job MYTV.

QUOTE(izz70 @ May 3 2019, 05:13 PM) I believe Mux 2 is transmitted with very low power. Even in Kuching can hardly get it. If you can reposition your antenna, it will be lost in an hour. Opposite situation occurs in Sibu, where Mux2 is easy to get but very difficult to get Mux1

QUOTE(joshhd @ May 3 2019, 10:30 PM) You want 10 MYTV boxes for what? Resell ah? It is clearly stated on the box that it is "Not for Sale". Thanks for remind me of that. I will make sure those words are not shown in the advertisement 😉 resell it is better than pile up in pos office to gain dust dan spider web. QUOTE(dayojah @ May 3 2019, 11:09 PM) MCMC chairman on BFM today, said analog switch off might start by end of this month. They are desperate to get analog off nationwide in time for WRC conference in October, to ratify 700 MHz for 5G Can't wait for it, for public flaming on MYTV failure even more aggressively. QUOTE(smileguy @ May 5 2019, 05:30 AM) Costs to get and install a good uhf aerial,NJOI is cheaper and stable ! Agree with the part where NJOI signal reception is much more stable than MYTV. I am with NJOI watching for about a year, I give 4.5/5 stars to NJOI, only downside is disturbance when bad weather /raining. 2/5 stars to MYTV, no need explain why so poor mark cause everyone knows about its infamous progression. As for the price, it depends on whether the installation was done by yourself or hire other to do it, and the source where to get the decorder, antenna, cable and connector. If not mistaken there is an extra pay to activate NJOI.

QUOTE(yongtjunkit @ May 5 2019, 02:05 PM) https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2019...nes-tv-antenna/I wonder how would this affect users who don’t use MYTV decoders..... specifically users who brought their DVB-T2 box from Lazada, shopee, etc Really funny... RM100,000 or imprisonment for up to six months, or both, if found guilty.MCMC wants what? They want the devices be certified by MCMC, that's the point. MYTV woundn't encrypt DVB-T2, what's the benefit of doing that? So that public will buy the original STB which is about RM200? By that time when freeview channels are encrypted, I think wise people would rather go for NJOI or iptv. QUOTE(yongtjunkit @ May 6 2019, 07:06 AM) That lazada link, is that STB MCMC certified? QUOTE(shaun_kok @ May 6 2019, 08:53 AM) I agree with that. Encryption is likely used for subscription channels only If MYTV does so, this will make all DVB-T2 TV sets (certified by MCMC) rendered useless. Correct. If MYTV provide encrypted premium channels (like Singapore) such as HBO, Hulu, Cinemax, sports etc which requires monthly payment with attractive lower price than astro, that would make encryption sounds reasonable.
