Is MyTV really going to keep transmitting K band satellite? I presume that they are using C band to the East Malaysia transmitters for rain fade reliability, so a couple of K band transponders as well gets expensive.

How do i check the distance between my house and the tower? Do we have a map for the towers?

This satellite dish... Is better than using antenna?

Thanks. Found my parents' house is 15km away from the KL tower. I think I will try the indoor antenna first, if that fails, Ill just get something better. Found a whole set for RM117 on lazada. many good reviews for that seller and particular product too.

Hi, has the Teletext/Red Button/Interactive function for TV1 SD and TV2 SD been taken off?

Or is it only available for the RTM HD channels? Can't seem to access it on TV1 and TV2 SD. Earlier I could receive them on all RTM channels.

Using original official MYTV Myfreeview decoder with LAN cable plugged into the Internet btw.

Went through Lojing today, a lot of the orang asli homes are receiving MYTV via satellite - this area is a VHF/UHF blindspot so no wonder there

yup, greenpacket is one of the provider for set-top boxes for the BR1M, but somehow mytv cause problem to greenpacket

wonder why i only can receive digital tv signal at night from 8pm onwards. i cant search for any channel in daytime. is it my tv problem or something wrong at the broadcaster?

So far there is no neighbouring countries transmit digital TV channels in 4K UHD, and that shouldn't be your main reason why you should not upgrade to UHD TV.
When you have UHD TV, you can make sure that your TV can support 4K UHD and be able to watch 4K UHD content in near future.
Example, you can play your own 4K UHD videos from your USB drive by connecting it to a UHD TV, or you can enjoy selected shows in 4K quality if you subscribe to Netflix RM51/month plan.

Just go ahead with 4K UHD TV. There's no bad reason to not go for 4K UHD TV, and 4K UHD TVs is getting affordable nowadays.

Don't expect much for FTA channels. Even Singapore is still stuck in 1080i, not yet 1080p.

Malaysia FTA channels, on the other hand, are struggling in SD format mostly.

Just a quick question.....

My parent had been watching TV1 and TV2 (Both HD) for a whole day today and they told me there is no subtitle.

Strange thing is....I already enable the subtitle and yet no subtitle is showing up?

Decoder is Openbox V8 Pro....rebranded as GTMedia V8 Pro now.....

Anyone with same issue? Or RTM doesn't broadcast the subtitle correctly?
