At my place, a few degree direction change can jump from 80% quality to no signal for 1 of the 2 mux

I dropped my Astro subscription 2 years ago when I still using a 1080p TV and they were still using MPEG-2 compression

I heard there were plans to switch to MPEG-4 but I dunno if it has been implemented since...

I believe myFreeview is using MPEG-4 compression right? Can achieve similar or better quality on lower bandwidth

I am on a 4K TV now, and the RTM HD channels look pretty good. It's nowhere near as good as what's available on Netflix or YouTube (definitely no need to compare to physical media), but as far as I can see the RTM channels look far better than the Media Prima channels, and can be considered boleh lah as far as I can see

Of course I don't watch TV.. just fooling around with myFreeview for curiosity value only. The only channel I tune to is BNC, and it's still in standard definition...

Ah....the concept of native resolution.......If playing 1080p content on 4k, it will look very blurry.

Some cheap 4K TV has very bad "latency" = Pixel transition time (ghosting), image slower to display (due to tv internal processing) on screen than audio (remember the audio delay in millisecond at Astro decoder?)

only can get channels from MUX1,  other MUX2 RTM HD and RTM related tv and radio channels, all cannot detect until now. was using official mytv decoder.

tried to tune myfreeview on my Sony Bravia & outdoor antenna today.. installed the antenna on the roof pointing directly towards Ulu Kali transmitter which ranged within 40km from my place... channel 49, 698hz.. Signal level 68%, Signal Quality 100%...

however i only managed to get RTM1, RTM2, RTM Sport, BES & TV Okey... it seems to be only MUX2 channels... I've manually scan channel 45, 666hz (MUX1) but the signal quality is zero%, signal level 45%.  what could be the reason?

It's locked to irdeto only.

Hi all. I am staying near Menjalara. Using a Samsung TV 2018 with DVB-T2 decoder built in.

Just bought the antenna below but can't get any channels after using auto or manual tuning.

Is it because this is too cheap? I would like to avoid installing antenna on the roof. Any suggestions? Thx

Hi, I have an old antenna on the roof which connect directly to TV(dvb-t2) .
Every time when there is raining, all Malaysia's channels will hang and unable to watch, but Singapore's channels no problem at all. And sometimes, some or all MY channels will disappear from TV channel list,left only SG channels.
May I know any possible reason for this? is it my setup problem or the service?(JB area)

75cm vs NJOI 65cm one is quite a difference.

I suggest we all dont waste money on aerials and all that stuff,just go for dish.Aerials are more prone to lightning and very unstable. The settings  wont work for NJOI cos mytv using different satelite
