Well , even with 2 years warranty , do u think early buyers really care ? I doubt it will 6 months with them

I have been testing roms from Cognito, TK, Angelo, villian to find the best for battery life. All these roms not much difference in performance. I have not tested litening as quite several users reported bad battery life. However I was surprised litening 1.4 gives me best to date
On the other roms including several official fw, on standby Overnight ( midnite till 7am ) with active update, refresh data ( 3 mail accounts every 15 mins, tweeter, several news feed every 30min and 60 min) the drop is usually in the range of 25 to 30%.  Litening 1.4 i noted was just less than 10%
Day use I do not really monitor as phone always on charge on desk or in car

Yes there is but dun expect it to be cheaper ..... It's simple , for example 1 trader charge u RM2040 for SGS2 with 3% tax , another give u RM2099 but no need 2 pay CC tax .... Doesnt it get back to square 1 ? IF u expect ppl to charge u the lowest possible price yet no CC charges , u can try register at this website .... www.manmandang.com.my 

Like benny said ... it's all about early adopters. They are willing to pay the premium to own the phone before anyone else.
Some people willing to wait and some people not willing to wait. Some people willing to pay only a certain price and some don't care ... just pay any price. Simple as that.

There will always be 3 category for a buyer of a device

1 - Just buy as soon as it's available regardless of the price ... If u r think paying RM2.7k for a SGS2 is crazy , look at ipad2 .... 64G+3G was once RM4K+
2 - Wait for the official launch and buy
3 - Wait a few months b4 buying , hopefully the price will drop as there is always new models coming out . These buyers dont aim for the latest , anything least than 6 months is fine

Which category u r in , u should know . IF u r in category no.2 , there is no point pint pointing or feeling the pain for category 1 buyers coz no offence bro , its not your concern . Misinformed info is the way of life of Malaysian especially launching ... Take DHD for example , was initially from Maxis deal ,even got their website posted pre-order . Later on was taken down and finally , after 2 months ,was released under DIGI

I would say the bigger number lies in the category where buyers being duped into believing the SGS2 will launching many months later, therefore they joined into buying overpriced AP SGS2. So please do not deny the feeling of pain for these buyers.
To be honest, who cares about those rich brats who can even take 0 warranty over 2 years official warranty at a much higher price just for being 3-4 weeks 'ahead' ? Even if you got money, this not the way to spend it anyway.
