bro i doubt that early adopters like me will be sakit hati, that's the premium price to pay to own that phone earlier, to play with it the earliest moment, heck i would even buy it if it's without warranty. So when we buy it 1-2 months back, we couldn't care and give a damn about how much the phone is gonna costs, with however long warranty, or how much cheaper the ap phone is now.

Hey , i came across from what you all posted and check with maxis call center, they give 2 different answer about the 799 promotion
1. pay 2099 upfront and they will rebate you each month, eventually they phone cost you for 799
2.you pay 799 for the device on that day and others will come by bill

how is it gonna work? if i want to get 799 promotion that will be LONG Q for me , i need confirmation , that will be nightmare if reach me and they told me that they want the full payment which is 4k+++........

That's only applicable to you and maybe some similar early adopters. But they are many other real buyers out there that is looking for a deal & good device that may serve them for some time back then, but being mis-informed about delayed launching, very high official RRP & etc., just as I mentioned previously.

Yes there is but dun expect it to be cheaper ..... It's simple , for example 1 trader charge u RM2040 for SGS2 with 3% tax , another give u RM2099 but no need 2 pay CC tax .... 1 - Just buy as soon as it's available regardless of the price ... If u r think paying RM2.7k for a SGS2 is crazy , look at ipad2 .... 64G+3G was once RM4K+
2 - Wait for the official launch and buy
3 - Wait a few months b4 buying , hopefully the price will drop as there is always new models coming out . These buyers dont aim for the latest , anything least than 6 months is fine

Which category u r in , u should know . IF u r in category no.2 , there is no point pint pointing or feeling the pain for category 1 buyers coz no offence bro , its not your concern . Misinformed info is the way of life of Malaysian especially launching ... Take DHD for example , was initially from Maxis deal ,even got their website posted pre-order . Later on was taken down and finally , after 2 months ,was released under DIGI

anyways i just flashed latest villain 1.4 and new modem. first impression was villain wasnt as responsive as angelo, but i am hoping villain can give me longevity~!

1 year? 2 year? Darnit SME, just make ALL YOUR DEVICES, whether or not sold from an SEP, come straight with a 2-year warranty darnit.

That said, gonna try my luck with an SEP pre-order through some help. If the slots are full (or my proxy is unwilling), lets just get the 1-year SME warranty one I've already pre-ordered. Sigh.

Hopefully this time the darned thing doesn't get stolen like my iP4 so that the warranty will be put to good use.

Based on someone's suggestion in XDA , it gives a decent batt life for my usage

L0 1200mhz 1150mV 950mV
L1 1000mhz 1050mV 950mV
L2 800mhz 950mV 950mV
L3 500mhz 825mV 950mV
L4 200mhz 825mV 950mV

The dynamic mode is conservative limited from 500mhz - 1000mhz

Very fast CPU, for now doesn't need 1200mhz

The GPU is locked at 267mhz - 750mV

1300mhz 1200mv
1000mhz 1100mv
800mhz 950mv
500mhz 850mv
200mhz 800mv

but have to add 200+ ... like the one they offer with xoom

I have been testing roms from Cognito, TK, Angelo, villian to find the best for battery life. All these roms not much difference in performance. I have not tested litening as quite several users reported bad battery life. However I was surprised litening 1.4 gives me best to date
On the other roms including several official fw, on standby Overnight ( midnite till 7am ) with active update, refresh data ( 3 mail accounts every 15 mins, tweeter, several news feed every 30min and 60 min) the drop is usually in the range of 25 to 30%. Litening 1.4 i noted was just less than 10%
Day use I do not really monitor as phone always on charge on desk or in car
