Any source that says rooted phone cant get warranty claim ? Personally , I rooted all my Android whenever possible .... My SGS was running on custom ROM when i went back to claim for a faulty internal memory and not fogetting I fried my processor in my Omnia HD , playing with OC from HyperX , from stock 600 to 900 at that time , i was kinda hand itchy , i tried 1000 ...... For those occasions , I got no problem getting a claim from SME . Would appreciate if you could share your source for the new ruling that rooted / non stock firmware cant get claim coz from what I was told by the technician in SME himself , as long as the unit is not opened , sealed not broken , u r entitle for warranty claim . Hell , he n a few of his technician friends even asked for a copy of the HyperX firmware

Just got the phone yesterday and flashed with CF-Root KF1 kernel
got to say this phone is amazing but i'm a little bit concern about its battery life. Hope after few times of recharging and discharging it will be improved significantly.

I think every SGS2 has the yellow tint screen problem, at least the current and previous batch.
It is only the matter of whether the user realize them or not.
I think the pink spot camera problem is exist on every single one too, as usual, up to the user.
If only you and a few people got that problem, it might be a unit defect.
But when everyone has them, it is the phone problem/weakness itself.

hmm.. but at least someone plz try sending back to SME and see how they respond either replace panel or swap unit.. at least we perform a damage control action

Yellowish screen is a prob with the 1st few batches of hp and normally is given a 1 to 1 exchange . As for pinkish spot in the camera , visit XDA under " general " section . Beside me , there r alot of other users confirming it's no longer there after firmware update . Some users r complaining hp auto rebooting which I personally do not encounter . Check your apps u installed b4 u blaming it on the phone . Handcent SMS , from personal experience , doesnt seem to work well with 2.3 ....... I keep getting FC after a while when there is alot of sms in it like 3000+ . I got this not only in SGS2 but in ARC , Tab Ginger and Streak Ginger .

one question, someone give me the codes which will let me check my camera firmware version, i tried a lot in the first page and none showed me the camera version >.>

using handcent on sensation but never get fcs.. but i also never reached 3K sms amount.. still, handcent is sluggish a bit when so many sms.. too bad its my primary sms app since htc desire

Hmmmm..........guess it must b some apps I'm using which doesnt seem to run well to handcent then or some add-on coz I gave up on it now .... Keeping FC and i need 2 reboot the phone everytime it does that , like 3-4 times a day

currently using lite-ning rom 1.4, i read ppl say xwke7 rom fixes the problem, budden there's also some say it doesnt work

U can check your camera firmware by doing this

*#34971539# and then press Phone/CAM FW Ver Check.

Then you can either get the apk from Samsung Apps application on your phone. Or download the firmware update apk which I have attached to this post. The application should tell you if your camera needs the update or not.

To get from Samsung Apps Click on Featured Tab then click New. Then choose the Galaxy S2 Camera Firmware update application. If you can't find it go to search and type 'camera' or something.

Samsung Apps -> Categories -> Utilities and then "Galaxy S2 Camera Firmware Update"

Heard the latest is OCEE09 as of a month ago

That is main reason why I do not recommend this rom. Installed it and later have to fix quite few issues. I strongly suggest new users stay away from it. It is not exceptionally superior to any others. I find litening, AngeloM and Cognition are equally good roms

so i should go to where de SME ? or find the seller ask him bring me go the SME? if 1 to 1 exchange is get it on the spot or need wait 1?

I don't know this seller but apparently quite few threads has unfavourable reports about his after sales service

I never buy anything from him b4 , only sold 2 SGS , SME to him as he offered the highest price for a used , perfect condition unit . . . . Sadly , i found out what he did with it

In a way, I do agre with you. My SGS was rooted and the Service Center did not even bother and process it 3 times for me free of charge a reflash of the rom ( since unit bricked ). I have 2 HTC , rooted flashed cooked roms - motherboard replace FOC too and both are AP sets). My ipod touch was jailbreak and refreshing latest iOS update bricked too - sent in to Machines - and reflash too FOC
