Hi Wei Kee,

Just wanted to ask about your Stained Flooring. how is it so far? Any pros and  cons compared to tiles?
*
OK so far. Got to clean like weekly loh cause i choose dark staining, so dust and dirty mark very obvious. Also got some tires marked, need to wait until my neighbor finish renovating than only see if its the top later finishing problem or too much sand outside problem. Anyway all this can be fix with reapply the sealer.

WeiKee,

Where about do you lay your Cat6 cables from and to?

From the Unifi Modem to all rooms? just curious
I m thinking if i should or just wifi would do
*
I have a "server room" (store room smile.gif ), where i terminate all my network cabling, CCTV Coax, and CCTV Lan cables. So my unifi i terminate there.

During renovation, I ask me electrician to put empty conduit from my "server room" to my laundry area. When unifi came, they pull expose cable from outside to my laundry area than into the empty conduit all the way to my "server room"

I also use wifi, AP is in the server room.

Oh...so basically your BTU, modem and IP phone are all located in ur "Server Room?"
from Server room...it is Wifi-ed over to your Laptops / PCs and Media Player (if any) ..is that right?
*
Wifi to my notebook only. I use LAN for TV, Media player, my first floor Master bedroom, and small living hall.

I saw a brand especially dedicated to Shoe cabinet. The logo has Mr. Bean picture.
If I remember right, should suit your requirement.
*
There too in Viva, design is nice, and lots of selection. But price wise is more expensive. They have a design i want, but not in gloss. Selling around 1.2k too. For that price, I go for my current unit because is gloss paint.

May I know your have one contractor "baokaliao" or you engage few contractors? smile.gif
Did u engage ID?
How about the application to Majlis?

Thanks smile.gif
*
For mine, few of them work in a team, so this team do the electrical, pipes, structure. Than I use my contractor contact for windows and tiler.

Others like door, grills, broken marbles source by me.

Added on February 11, 2012, 9:45 pmBro...any cost indication for your wiring? I got quoted below about RM12k to rewire the whole house...

Using Mega brand Wire :-

1) Lighting Point : RM60
2) 13 amp point : RM100
3) AC point        : RM220
4) Water Heater : RM220

etc etc...
*
Hi,

Your light point is cheaper than mine. Mine was 70.

13 Amps, mine was 80, AC and heater is average about 200, cause some he charge 150, some 250.

Did you ask if 13 Amps, all without looping how much smile.gif mine most are without looping. maybe 5 sockets are looping only.

bro interested in your gate grills. can share where you got it?
*
Any Grill / metal contractor can do. You just have to give them design. My gate is (look from front) 2" steel, 1' gab. Windows (look from front) 1" steel, 4"+- gab.

Good,

If you redo all this, ask him add LAN, CCTV, and conduit for Fiber for future use. If still prefer conventional phone than a 4 core Cat3 for analog phone.
