QUOTE(coconutzz @ May 21 2012, 05:14 PM) The Casement windows... Just wonderng does urs open "1 side per panel" like phonenix's? or sometimes, ppl will open 2 panels outwards..... Casement open one side, have not actually see any casement can open both way. In magazine yes, but I would imagine it will be very expensive. You can specify to the installer how you want to open. Like open from the right or from the left.

QUOTE(PrinceMickey @ Jun 25 2012, 11:41 PM) weikee, i go thru from first page to end, your house is really nice! The kitchen side i personally prefer ikea one, more organizer. bro, i wish you share with me how to make more money like you.. Hi, thanks for bumping up my old post, thought is already sunken deep. Yes, ikea design are more functional. I use ikea before in my mom house, is really practical. But just the price are high if compare same material. Money...where got make more, just that we don't spend much on car. I only buy car that are no more than 10 months of my salary. Same to my wife. After moving in for almost 18months, here come a new challenge. Termite. It come out from the place I did not do treatment, and according to the pest control it also due to my neighbor renovation that make the termite go and scout for other place. Which kind of explan it happen just after my neighbor done the renovation. 1st discovery was near my bed @ 1st floor, but after I spray it, my first floor was clean for almost 2 months. While doing my own routine checking found it at my store / server room. Good as the damage is not bad. Is only paper box. Called the termite company do baiting. Shall see how it go in few more baiting.

yup, and even prevention made must do self checking every month. Early detection save $$$.
One of the pets control teach me to put some small unwanted box in the corner, and regually check the box. Termite actually very selective eater. They will eat the best food first like tisue paper, paper box than only news paper if nothing else will eat wood.

QUOTE(yanie2012 @ May 31 2013, 04:24 PM) Can you pm me the pets control service charge? Plan to have a termite treatment I use stopest, you can get the contact from the website. Price wise is pretty standard in the market now. Market is ranging from 1.5 - 2k in baiting system. Mine is 1.6 for one year treatment, think the continue is about 500, yet to ask them for discount, will do it in year 2.

QUOTE(~Curious~ @ May 31 2013, 06:05 PM) OMG hate. Termites..was told baiting plus yearly treatment enuff wor Baiting is good if the termite eat the bait, it will eleminate the colony. After that yearly monitor not treatment lah. Which I am still thinking want to continue or not. If got time can standby the baiting and DIY. Saw few seller at ebay maybe I should try import in and standby

QUOTE(~Curious~ @ May 31 2013, 11:43 PM) wow weikee ur quite hands on..can save alot doing DIY...i wanted to put in pipes to dispense d chemmical liquid for prevention, but d contractor sed no nid,too late now sigh...one thing i think is pest control can come n inspect while u doodle away at sth else lol so rm500 is a trade off for ur precious time =) do give a review of d product if u do import =) If you still in renovation state and want to change all floor tiles is good to do it. I did not do the entire perimeter because some area of flooring I retain. And smart enough they come from the area I did not put. Ah well if we have problem just faced it and fix it. I plan to buy some from Australia, since I have friend coming into Malaysia frequently from Australia.

QUOTE(ozak @ Jun 4 2013, 10:03 AM) Better to inform your left and right neighbour regarding the termites. Ask them to do treatment together. Otherwise it will craw back to your side once you're clean but neighbour infected. It is also good for you to widen your protect coverage. Already told my neighbor on my left, the right neighbor seldom see the owner is rented out. But since I am using baiting system is actually good for them because the baiting system will kill the entire colony. According to the staff one colony usually cover few houses and mine the unlucky owner that the termite came out. Maybe is lucky since it only started at my store room.

Last weekend the technician came for the 3rd visit, is about 8 weeks, and still using the same baiting. Termite did not eat all. But the sign of termite are gone. Inside the bait, no more activity. Here the other bait, also no more activity. The other earlier damaged box also no more activity. Look like the termite came up from my store room door. This is the only door intag during my renovation. I did not renovate the store room and change the door. See the two holes. This post has been edited by weikee: Jul 11 2013, 08:20 AM

QUOTE(ozak @ Jul 11 2013, 08:49 AM) Should you change all the wood that been infected? Incase some will smell back to their nest. Not required. Actually if the damage are minimal is good to remain because the old colony smell is there and new colon won't come in when it detect other colony is there.
