QUOTE(coconutzz @ Oct 18 2011, 10:41 PM) Generally Around the same.Of course it depends on the grade tiles vs the grade of laminated floorboards. So far laminated flooring can cost from RM3.50/sq feet (boards only) to RM10/sq feet. Tiles can cost from RM4.00/sq feet to RM10.00/sq feet Installation cost is another matter Not actually gotten quotation yet but I think tiles installation are pricier. |

QUOTE(peterbrutus @ Oct 27 2011, 01:05 AM) Hi, mind if I ask what kind of windows are u using? Is it normal casement and which brand? Normal glass or tempered glass? Tinted? Normal casement windows. No brand lah.. Normal green glass.. no tinting. Do you plan to put grille? Just that I insisted on 1.2mm thick aluminum. The branded ones usually give 1.3mm and above. Grille. Yup... with Angle bars . Added on October 27, 2011, 12:16 pm QUOTE(scouser7 @ Oct 27 2011, 10:54 AM) Thanks for ya reply. Care to explain about this metal support thing??Thats what I thoght about the plaster ceiling as well. But contractor said that its more expensive coz need longer metal support since my ceiling and roof is a big distance. Are you able to recommend a plaster ceiling guy? What should the rate be? Air Cond Piping lesson
The last thing I expect to have headache about is Air cond piping. I thought - choose air cond, agree on installation price then its go. Little did i know that the copper piping for these air cond will cause me headache. Eventually I plan to put 7 air cond in my house. As I have limited $$$ now, decide to put 2 air cond first. My wetwork contractor advised me to prepare the piping first for the other air cond so in future when install the balance air cond then no need hacking in the walls any more to conceal the pipes. So I gotten my electrical contractor to quote me. This was what I've got:- Installation Charges (Concealed, no free piping at all) 1.0HP - RM160 1.5HP - RM180 2.0HP - RM230 2.5HP - RM260 Concealed Copper Piping Charges / feet 1.0HP - RM17 1.5HP - RM19 2.0HP - RM22 2.5HP - RM25 Water Piping RM 6.00 feet. With 7 air cond piping running between 20 - 40 feet each this is gonna cost me a bomb So I went hunting for another quote, got one but after some digging, Initially, I thought I struck the mother lode but further digging (literally Installation Charges (Non Concealed, free 10 Feet copper piping) 1.0HP - RM130 1.5HP - RM150 2.0HP - RM200 2.5HP - RM250 Which sounds good but when Its concealed (Each unit add RM180) Copper Piping Charges / feet 1.0HP - RM10 1.5HP - RM12 2.0HP - RM14 2.5HP - RM16 Which sounds good but when Its concealed (Each unit add RM180) In the end decided to stick with existing electrical contractor rather than bringing another guy... QUOTE(weikee @ Nov 8 2011, 07:13 PM) Not at all. At totally different corner. Just that the location of the rear door faces the sewage tank directly which in turn directly face the rear room window. Added on November 9, 2011, 7:01 pm QUOTE(kelvyn @ Nov 8 2011, 08:19 PM) Fung shui master did not mention this area. The location of the rear door was my "brilliant" idea I thought it will provide easy access to my sewage tank in case indah water wants to do major maintenance. Now someone told me that the indah water pipe can bend one so no need door to be directly in line with sewage tank. This post has been edited by phoenix69: Nov 9 2011, 07:01 PM |
