Regarding the Tiles :-
The indoor tiles is Feruni's RA03NN 2x2
The car porch is Guocera;s SP131D 1x2

Regarding the Tiler :-
Its a relative. Usually do only projects.
Got him to tile for me as a favour. biggrin.gif
He has 30-40 years of tling work behind him. A real "sifu"
Can't give you his contact as he says not to since he is fully booked 6-8 months in advanced and will only accept jobs from his established bosses.
.... and relatives.  laugh.gif

Show you guys later what his "present" to me is...

Nowadays good tiler is not easy to find, i try find many contractor from forum..most of them want do easy and faster job.(reason : condo)
They suggest me to install the new tiles on top of existing tiles...and suggest to cut all the door...but their price is not cheap!

Finally i got 1 chinese uncle tiler that has 30 year++ experience from forum as well, and i did check with other member..worth to pay with his workmanship. He is the only 1 tell me that need to hack and remove all the existing tiles, else he wont do my job.

He not only remove the existing tiles but also hack the base cement and redo the new cement..atleast 2" thick!

A good tiler, makes a heck lot of diffrent. nod.gif
They have many years of experience and kung fu thus knows all the little nuances that helps you cover the defects of a house such as non symmetrical angled walls and good water floe for your toilet.
My toilet now have good water flow, no pools of water at any corner left to dry. smile.gif

When he hack and remove all the existing tiles and cement, the new cement with good "levering" can show that my existing levering from developer is terrible bad...i can see some of the big gap at certain door frame now.

He is specialist on tiles work only, the workmanship is good specially on good leveling, tiles all lay on same line and evenly....When Unity Kitchen Patrick come over also say his workmanship is good.

He is Chinese uncle work alone to install tiles, his worker just help him to prepare the cement/hacking work.
so my other fren same condo can finish the 600sqft tiles work on 2-4 day while mine need 2 week to finish it.

Very important to get specialist to do installation of tile & marble flooring. The uncle I used took almost a month to finish up my toilets, ground flooring and kitchen counter tops.

Happy with the work coz I know this uncle is quite anal about his work. Only downside for their service is that they accept cash payments only and the bill can be quite hefty.

Wooden Doors

Went in search of wooden doors.
Visited 5 shops.
Below are a few points I've got.
I may be wrong, feel free to correct me.

Generally solid wooden doors are graded in 3 main categories.
A, B and C.

A- Very nice and relatively even wood grain / lines.
Can go for light colour varnish / shellec - to show off the nice grain / natural pattern

B- Medium quality wood grain / lines
Either dark colour shellec or solid paint - to hide the unevenness

C- Lower quality range usually mixed wood.
Solid paint only is recommended - hide everything

Wood for the mid to high range can be Nyatoh, Meranti, Merpauh..

Standard size is 33 6/8" X 83". The width is the same but the length is usuallu needed to be cut to suit your door frame.

The cost:-
The price I've encountered is verrryyy varied. rclxub.gif
Generally
Door + Installation + Painting + Lock

I concentrated on Nyatoh B and Merpauh

Door - RM 250 to 380 to 430 / pc
Install - RM120 to 150 to 200
Paint - RM100 to 200
Lock - RM20 - RM 200 or more

Some even charge transport seperately.

For narrower doors, it is not so easy to find so quite pricey for wooden doors.

Another option is Plywood doors.
It is not solid but cheap and has very modern pattern.
1 plywood door RM 350-380 include instalattion.
