Although you don't seem to read either. They are valid, sure. But my point is padan muka towards the pirates. Not towards the one with legal usage. Although one funny things is, whenever this kind of argument pops up, they will ALWAYS use these poor people for their own greedy self. I'm not talking about you per se, but there are a few people quoting these people just to worm off that they want a way out so they can continue pirating. Sad really using other people misfortune for their own advantage. Kinda like torrent and linux distro. I mean, how many people even torrent linux distro? And yet it never fails to be mentioned. I myself get it from direct download as quite a few distro provides direct downloads.
Haha you took the bait, ROFL

I do read long long debates on your "forum" but meh I don't pay much attention to them cause I found the arguments were made very seagates-ish

Yes, because IMO, the govt believes mainstream media corrupts the minds of malaysians. Simply put, that  imply that Malaysians aren't the type to think for themselves. Based on the internet forums.. can you blame them? tongue.gif

SPSS and Adobe got student packages. Unfortunately you should blame the Uni's for not fulfilling their responsibility so they can provide their students with bulk student discounted software. I also didn't know about it when I was a student. (>_>).. After working only know about all these...

oh really? malaysian minds are already corrupted.

so whats the diff if you censor or not? its good for the young ones, but for the old enough to think for themselves?

oh yes, and those unis are under which management?

Greetings, Malaysia, We have seen the censorship taken by the Malaysian government, blocking sites like The Pirate Bay, and WikiLeaks. Malaysia is one of the world's strictest governments, even blocking out movies, and television shows. These acts of censorship are inexcusable. You are taking away a basic human right. The internet is here for freedom, without fear of government interference. Do not think that no one else notices. Your structured government has done the talking, and we hear loud and clear. Let this be an announcement to all your people. This is a sign, a warning, and an opportunity to listen to ideas above your own. In a way you are being stubborn. But how will this help anyone or your country. We fear that if you make further decisions to take away human freedom. We are obligated to act fast and have no mercy. For rules were meant to be broken. And corruption was meant to be washed away and forgiven. Now we will wash your corruption away so be prepared. Take this as a favor.
We are Anonymous, *we do not forgive, we do not forget, expect us*

Why is this ban worrying? Simple.

It starts as "combat against internet piracy. During this period, the government will attempt to "condition" the people that censorship is a good thing. Eventually, due to abuse of power, and due to not being questioned by the public over their actions, they'll start censoring the websites which they claim is 'detrimental' to national security, based on their convenience.
