not familiar with those 2, though i do know that the M series are for monitoring.

i tried M50 before, well, to be honest i found the headphone kinda boring and dull..
no offense to those monitor phones lovers, but these phones are just not my cup of tea..
maybe they need amps to pour in a bit colour?

I'm at KL now for study purpose, but going to Subang is just too far from my place, Setapak.

honestly, unless you need a closed back headphone,
i cant put ad300 and m50 in the same level.

Added on July 8, 2011, 1:01 pmif quantity alone, ad700 < ad300.. maybe only 40% of ad300 bass.
i consider ad300 bass quantity as level and balanced enough. the quality of details in the bass is not as good as ad700.. but since u r missing quantity already, u'll be hard pressed to hear the difference.
as for frequency extension (those 5hz to 40khz thingy), ad700 is better a bit, but only few people notice it.
so, does it hit super low? not really. but does it do it natural? yes, more so than ad700.

Thanks bro for your great reply. As beginner of an audiophile, I'll try AD300 first. If it's suitable for me then I'll upgrade when the time comes.
