ya, i would say the bass is there.. but not very deep and strong bass though.. it's open can after all..
btw, if u enjoy trance, AD300 is very suitable.. i never tried AD700, but from reviews i think it is more to detail compared to AD300..

and yes, the bass for the ad series is definitely one of its weakpoints, however, you could compensate it by using amps that provide decent boost to your headphones bass. one such example would be the govibe peak that works quite well for the AD series.

well for that budget, and if you're still interested in the ad series, i guess thats as far as you go. though, perhaps you can check out other brand, or other series from AT line up as well. best if you can drop by places like jaben, to audition, then you'll know fully on what you want

A series are closed cans, i prefer open cans over closed cans, though the same may not apply to you

well, from your sig, you like yui right? and you know yui's damn good with the guitar right? i believe the ad series does really good with strings/guitar

though, it'd be much better if you can stretch up to the ad700/900, as you can start to experience what the ad series can offer, anything below, doesn't speak much for the AT AD series unfortunately

i tried M50 before, well, to be honest i found the headphone kinda boring and dull.. 
no offense to those monitor phones lovers, but these phones are just not my cup of tea..  
maybe they need amps to pour in a bit colour?

if quantity alone, ad700 < ad300.. maybe only 40% of ad300 bass.
i consider ad300 bass quantity as level and balanced enough. the quality of details in the bass is not as good as ad700.. but since u r missing quantity already, u'll be hard pressed to hear the difference.
as for frequency extension (those 5hz to 40khz thingy), ad700 is better a bit, but only few people notice it.
so, does it hit super low? not really. but does it do it natural? yes, more so than ad700.

monitoring headphone is mainly focusing on music production instead of enjoying i would say sometimes. is flat and balance no coloration mostly but seriously this will judge the recording whether is good or bad too. My first Audio Technica Headphone is M30 series which now replacement model is M35 which is foldable version. Sometimes is depend on what you are hear to. But for me i'm using for at least 2 years for this for my production/gaming/listen playback/movie.

I think still ok for me.  cause is still has AT signature sound.
