Gibson set for Sunderland
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6988610,00.html Nani admits Mourinho wish QUOTE Manchester United winger Nani has admitted he would like to one day be coached by Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese coach has been linked with a move for his compatriot after an impressive season with United. And although Nani claims he is happy with the Premier League champions, the Portugal international is flattered to be linked with the Spanish giants. "I am fine at Manchester United but it is good to hear there are other clubs interested," he said at a youth tournament in Seixal. "Would I like to work under Mourinho? Yes, but at this moment I am fine at Manchester United." Bitter taste Nani admitted it has been his best campaign since joining United from Sporting Lisbon in 2007. Yet despite playing a major role in his third title success with the Red Devils, the 24-year-old could not hide his frustration at being left out of the starting line-up for the Champions League final defeat by Barcelona last month. "It was a very positive season for Manchester United, and my best individual campaign," he added. "I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth after not being a starter in the Champions League final. "I was hoping to play from the start, but it is up to the coach to decide." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6988616,00.html |

about the Man U issue...i think its just a long going "tradition" or pantang. For example, have u seen any of the word "Man U" being used in the official site at all? But its not that the club officially bans its use, its just to respect and maybe to "stay away" from the negativity it brings.
not that everyone who uses it are using it to describe the munich incident. At the end of the day, its how it was used, the context of it. I personally dont use it coz i cant be bothered to be told by other United fans "eh, please dont use Man U la" |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Jun 14 2011, 07:01 PM) I thought the 6+5 rule has been banned by the EU? Any discrimination based on nationality is illegal there. The English FA and I think UEFA's initiative, however, the homegrown rule, where at least 8 players have to be homegrown at the club and another 4 players have to be homegrown in the country (or something like that) are not based on race and therefore is already being enforced gradually. That's the last I heard though. I could be outdated. I used to believe that man u story. Until I read, as an example, http://www.manutdtalk.com/forums/man-utd-c...ive-insult.html I'm not so sure anymore. Commoner will still use that term/nick, well cause most of the time during telecast match, you'll see ESPN using the MANU as a short form on the score area. So I guess that's how people start addressing the club as MANU. If only they know the actual story perhaps they'll stop.

Second that. Try calling city Man C. Or West Ham West U. It's freaking funny. Eventhough there's no solid reason to hate it, but people still using the MANU chant to name calling us, so that's why we should distant ourselves from suggesting the usage of that name.About Munich history give me more solid reason to dislike using "Man U".. |

QUOTE The duo appear to complement each other well, much like Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic at United or Ferdinand and John Terry for England. But Smalling claimed the pair could each do the silky and the tough stuff, saying: "I'd like to think we've both got a bit of both. "The manager wants us both to attack and also not to give the striker an inch." http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnew...nder-phil-jones Cant wait to see the partnership of our future CBs pairing Jones relishing United challenge QUOTE United-bound defender Phil Jones has described his imminent move to Old Trafford as a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity. The Reds announced on Monday 13 June that a deal was in place with Blackburn Rovers to bring the 19-year-old to the club as soon as the Under-21 European Championships have finished. Within 90 minutes of the announcement, Jones had addressed his fans on social networking site Twitter, writing: “I’d just like to start off by saying that I've loved my time at Blackburn and I will always be a huge fan. “But this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am looking forward to a new challenge. Thank you for all your kind messages.” Soon-to-be-team-mate Michael Owen, who remains a Red for at least another year after agreeing a new deal earlier this month, welcomed the Jones deal as “great news”. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features...-challenge.aspx This post has been edited by alien2003: Jun 14 2011, 08:46 PM |

think the alexis rumour is all udinese's president tryin to start a bidding war, hence, listing us as one of the favourite. A.young rumour looks more believable, as he has less than 12 months on his contract n he already said he want champions league football. I do agree fergie does have a fetish for wingers as throughout his reign he had a tendency to stockpile them.
About the homegrown 6+5 rule, i think i read sumwhere the english FA is trying to interpret the "6" to mean players produced/trained by the team team through their academy, and not based on nationality. |
