i wont complain about too much CBs...coz i still rmb quite well the terrible period where we had to use de laet-fletcher-carrick-evra defence at one point laugh.gif

he may play a few odd games at DM when needed, especially if Fletch is not fit or injured..but imo he will not play there on a permanent basis this season...i even think he may get more starts at CB rather than DM...it goes down to SAF really, will be interesting to see how he utilises PJ

Rio isnt fit all the time like always, and he's not getting any younger too..so that leaves Vidic to partner either Smalling, Evans or Jones...I believe all of them will get sufficient games..We didnt do well in the league cup last year, maybe with the added quality among the youngsters we can do even better just like the season before..most important thing is that he is only 19, is English, is already known as a leader and is also a gem

Think Cannavaro  tongue.gif

Anyway, a creative midfielder I think is needed, provided that if the likes of Gibson is going out. Need an experienced player at least. Where's Defour

when you need 'em?  cool2.gif
*
Puyol too! laugh.gif

well height is certainly an advantage for any CBs..not that Jones is short or anythg, just saying tongue.gif well at least according to those who watched him week in week out said he has great awareness, reads the game well and good positioning too...

Carroll + Henderson + Jones...excess of 70m+ pounds, and how many int caps they have in total atm? 3? no wonder SAF said no value in the market laugh.gif but also have to spend la of coz

since they started to accuse us of hijacking this and that when we did nothg more than just by bidding for PJ, and he accepted our offer...even arsenal and spurs were in for him, but they only blame us for that? why i cant see any1 of us blaming them for signing henderson? hahahahahahahahaha delusional betul

maybe SAF has already set his sights on the midfield youngsters...introduce them into the first team, play a considerable amount of games whenever Ando/Carrick/Fletcher/Giggs are out...a bold move of coz, but we pulled it off with the class of 92 and we can do it again biggrin.gif

Twitter abuse for departing Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones

QUOTE
THE girlfriend of departing Blackburn Rovers star Phil Jones has come in for ferocious abuse on Twitter.

Kaya Hall was targeted as Jones’ protracted £16.5million transfer to Manchester United played out.

Kaya leapt to her man’s defence as fans lambasted the young defender, accusing him of being a sell-out.

One Blackburn supporter tweeted Kaya to say Chorley-born Jones was ‘not welcome in our town’.

She replied: “Well good job he doesn’t live, nor is from, your town then isn’t it!”

To another she said: “Why you running your mouth to me then!? I don’t care!

“Going on about legacys and stuff. You sound like you’re in lord of rings!”

In another tweet she wrote: “You are so so pathetic. I think even Jack Walker would be ashamed of the stuff you say.”

But a number of Rovers supporters leapt to Jones defence, ahead of his Old Trafford move.

Later Kaya posted: “Thank you to all the kind supportive people.

“It’s nice to know you outnumber the horrible abusive people who intend to be hurtful.”

In another post she added: “So proud of Phil Jones. You deserve so much and more.

“Best of luck at your new club.”

After joining Manchester United yesterday Jones posted: “I’d just like to start off by saying that I’ve loved my time at Blackburn and I will always be a huge fan.

“But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am looking forward to a new challenge.”

Jones has more than 22,000 followers on Twitter.

Manc /Mancunian are demonym of Manchester /people of Manchester. we are not Manc..

no of coz we are not, but sometimes people take advantage of the use of "s" at the back by referring it to "scums" and is used against some players and fans, specifically those living in Manchester..some opposition fans may say it's plural but I aint buying all of that whistling.gif

i have no probs wif manc, i meant mancs btw

it's almost like the use of ManU...there are those that meant ManUtd, and those that use it for the Munich disaster (another term for ManYoo)

not that every use of those terms are for insulting everytime, which is why I personally just avoid using them..but if others wanna keep using them then let them be

honestly I don thk any of us hope a player like Brown to leave us, the guy has been a devil his entire career, one man club, period..but then again we cant be that selfish too if you get what I mean..He needs to play, not in the reserves but in competitive league matches.. With the squad we have now, plus the rumoured bust-up, he is way down the pecking order, that is just not fair to him..I don't blame him if he wants to go, or rather "forced" to go

it should be noted that Sanchez played a more central role this(last) season, something like a 2nd striker too, and excelled in it..and he's not that good of a crosser like Young, but he has tremendous speed and dribbling skills

so if u ask me, i personally prefer Sanchez la, but not that i will go butthurt like some thread if we fail to sign a player we bid for..in b4 im mufc manager
