a good pair of BH-5 will do 250mhz 2-2-2-5 with 3.2V-3.3V ... provide that you tweak the memory controller properly, and your power supply provide clean voltage.

hmm...depends actually..if you're using applications which require cache intensive, you'll see that 256k of cache will perform better than 128k of cache....depends much on the programs that you want to run...

but i see that its no point getting sempron 3000+ or 3100+ cause they are still based on the same core..OC wont differ much...you'll still haf to run at 3:2 devider in order to reach 2.7ghz (300x9)

In SuperPi, 256KB L2 cache will give slightly better time.

My friend have 2600+ and it basically doing the same thing like 2800+ but with abit cooler at the same clock.

I test run 2600/2800 at the same clock..and 3000/3100+ at the same clock and setting...the extra 128L2 give extra 0.25-0.3sec improvement in superPI. Honestly..if you didnt see the proc model..you cant differentiate which model is it .

zx7177,

are you talking about Socket A Sempron 2600+?

I think everyone thought you're talking about Socket-754 Sempron 2600+ here.....
