Nope....

All Sempron S-754 3000+ and above have unlocked multipliers. Simply because they support Cool n Quiet.

aha seems sempron 3100+ is getting common in msia market now hehe, but it's a better choice to wait for s939 sempron, it's comin very soon, later s754 sempron sure all no use edi sad.gif

btw goldfries, u prefer ur abit or dfi mobo? my cousin NV8 seems only 100% stable at 340htt, eventhough primestable at 345htt for proc n ram, sometimes it'll lag when playing movies, increasing others chipset/htt voltage doesnt help, only choice is lower down the htt shakehead.gif

hands itchy wanna switch to DFI nf4-4x infinity, seems a lot better in tweakin but sux lookin n audio brows.gif

Damn.... last time when I was looking for this S64 3100+, none was available. The forum traders only have up to 3000+, and also the shops.

Why only until now it appears on the retail shelves! doh.gif

hmm...different bios offers different speeds....you should know that very well...mobo PCB also plays a part in determining the max possible speed for your processor...

lucky i saw you ask me tongue.gif i prefer my nv8. the nv8 seem less picky when it comes to dual-stick RAM. i've tried same speed and divider, can work on NV8 but not the InN4x.

i've since RMAed my DFI but i've not tested it with A64 OC as current, lazy la plug in plug out. i'm not student anymore, not free la. smile.gif

i can't even reach 340 HTT, my processors so far are fine on around 275 - 285 range which is good enough for me. biggrin.gif

ya thanks for reminding, DFI leaves me a good memory when i was on nf3 250gb, so thinkin the NF4-4x infinity wil give me another nice experience? tongue.gif

ic, maybe u r using 2 stick of ram n limit the OC instead? i remember they wont OC well if we set the ram timing stuff to auto, we hv to set it manually... well i think i'll hear ur advice to appreciate the NV8, less hassle, nice lookin pcb, better caps n better integrated audio thumbup.gif

woot change toys? i can say ur rig is very good for most of the application now, some users told me tht the real life performance between s939 n s754 is actually a nope, only the upgrading or maintainance in the future only

erm. i manually set la. the DFI won't run my dual stick beyond 220+ mhz (divider 11) but the ABIT can. smile.gif

btw when i tested the OC i set the divider rather high so that the RAM speed is below 200mhz.

DFI auto timings are usually tighter than other mobos, like Abit's for example. That's why Abit is easier to use.

DFI while in the other hand, needs plenty of tweaks. That is why the extra memory timings are there in the bios.

If i not mistaken...DFI NF4x got prob if running 2 stick of ram rite?
You wont be able to change ur divider or wont hit very high. Anyway...if you stuck in 280-290 region..is very clear that it the ram that pulling you backward. biggrin.gif

2 stick or 3 stick... it depends on the memory controller.

if got problem running with multiple modules, just set the timing at 2T if u want to save all the hassle. or else, just tweak the extra memory timings. that is why the option is there, not just for display only.

Anyway..from what i experience..with crucial ram...on s754 mobo..2piece will just oc exactly like 1 piece. Not even 1 HTT lower.

Nope.... Micron only produce DDR chips for Crucial only if I am not mistaken. Or was it Crucial only use Micron chips for their DDR....

But as far as I know.... no other RAM manufacturers use Micron chips.
