QUOTE(Hornet @ Jul 19 2011, 07:00 PM) Bro, you're on 1Mbps line? Mine only un-throttle after 2am, but even then I only get 1M speed, nothing more Worse...4MB...RM140 monthly.
%#@$! TM.
TYPO: I meant throttling before 8.00am and unthrottled after 6.00pm. Still does not make sense. Yesterday still crappy even after 6.00pm This post has been edited by Raikkonen: Jul 19 2011, 07:11 PM

We refer to your complaint which was received through our Management Office. We wish to assure you that TM takes feedback from all our customers very seriously, especially when it relates to the quality of our services.
On the matter of the slow performance of our international link, we would like to inform you that the throughput is still subject to the inter-ISP connectivity, for both domestic and international; and is not solely dependant on the performance of the host or the host of the intended destination itself.
We wish to inform you that as an Internet Service Provider, TM?s role is in providing Internet connectivity and access; but is unable to guarantee the delivery of the contents and performance of the host; which is not within the domain of TM. In fact as part of our network performance policy, our international traffic management capability is designed to cater for all customer?s requirements to ensure they have optimal experience using the Internet.
Therefore, it is imperative to note that regardless of whichever IP address is obtained by our Streamyx subscriber, the performance of the network would be equally the same. However, heavy traffic on certain international links may have some relative impact on the performance of a desired Internet destination.
While all our policies are in place to ensure better service assurance domestically, it is very unlikely that any ISP would be able to guarantee an end-to-end performance to international sites. As we do recognise that our customer base has increased, we are making continuous efforts to upgrade our infrastructure to meet the requirement for higher bandwidth capacity.
We would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to contact us via email at help@tm.com.my or call at 100 and select Internet Services to report any matters related to our products and services.
Thank you.
Regards, Aida Adriana Rapid Response Team Customer Interaction & Service Resolution TM Berhad.

Us Malaysians always got conned.
I hope this ends soon.
4MB Streamyx for RM140 monthly.
With RM140, we can get 100 times faster speed in other countries.

Good job !!! 1.5mbps/2mbps package user here. Download speed from 4 links i tried average 25kbps COOL!! streaming a video is like taking triple the video length. I'll try switching to Unifi if its still the same. Ill spam calls to 100 whenever im free.

"While all our policies are in place to ensure better service assurance domestically, it is very unlikely that any ISP would be able to guarantee an end-to-end performance to international sites." <-- Yeah right, asked for upgrade but never came. Called the helpline, gave me tonnes of excuse and patched me through the whole department. wasted 30 minutes of cellphone credits because of this. Went to TM point to complain, issue receipt, say contractor will come. It's already more than 5 months. Habuk angin also didn't see.
"As we do recognise that our customer base has increased, we are making continuous efforts to upgrade our infrastructure to meet the requirement for higher bandwidth capacity."<-- if you have anticipated the # of users increased, you would have made the upgrade. Clearly, the upgrades in speed is not parallel to the increase number of users.

Updating windows, I could see the speed actually spike up to 1.8mbps and then it gets drop down to 0 again and it keeps repeating. This really sucks if they tries to limit us to 1mbps by simply dropping the data stream like that, because when I'm downloading something, I can't even open local site like lowyat forum as data gets randomly dropped. What kind of BS throtting is this
