...and you expect UNIFI can reach all suburbs? even in major cities they plan to start on 2012. wait till earth crack then UNIFI~~great. we can use UNIFI to tell earth just cracked.

its funny, they capped us who used DSL ( 1MB - 4MB ) to give spaces for their new UNIFI. and its not about copper wire. they throttle from the cabinet and their cooking appliances.

Why don't you guys upgrade to UniFi? My Unifi average download speed ~ 450 - 500 kbps. smile.gif

Streamyx internet connection will not get any faster or stable anymore as data is transmitted over the copper telephone line, unlike UniFi which is using fibre optics. So, my guess is that it's unlikely that TM will upgrade Streamyx line as fibre optics is the upcoming major subscription for our domestic internet connection.

nothing to do with unifi or streamyx for my case. Been playing Starcraft 2 since February on the US server with a bit of latency but still playable, it was fine until 3 weeks ago where one night all of a sudden I had serious lag spikes, but I didn't lag few hours before on that day. Every thing went downhill since that night. Now I can't play at all.

I've manage to come across a tm technician who mention to a subscriber that his "copper line" got problem when the subscriber complaint about his slow unifi connection for weeks. Basically Unifi is just a temporarily new package to mark up their revenue since their subscribers arent willing to pay for more. What they do is create a new package out with all the reserved smooth speed and choke their old subscribers with a congested backbone. What they also did was dedicate partial of their congested backbone bandwidth and rellocate partial of it to unifi. Though i'm suspecting the rumours about tm using fake fibre optic hmm.gif . Maybe some experts could guide us on how true tm is really using fibre optic. By the way unifi probably works as it's best performance for now like the era when broadband thrives over narrowband. Though after broadband turns to be common, tm reveals their true colors.

anyone using TM Dlink DSL-2640B modem? my line started slow down and sometime the website timed out fpr pass a month after TM replace this new modem. Could it be the modem problem? Or it just solely because of the TM is under maintenance?
