I'm currently having the ContiPremiumContact2 as stock on my car. Somehow , it is not that quiet and doesn't really grip that well on wet surfaces...

Yeah. ABS has been activated a few times over wet surface using conti tyre. Probably it's because of the width, 185, like 14 inches. And it's quite loud as well.

Definitely not a quiet tyre...
But due to bad grip offered by the Goodyears and as far as cost is concerned, Honda chosen ContinentalPremiumContact 2 as stock OEM tyres.. I'm still waiting for them to wear off, these tyres sure can last long but grip / noise really not up to the standard Anybody have changed their tyres and use 195/50/R16? (not going to change the E spec rim because it is Enkei afterall) Please suggest some tyre choices for this size |

Most of them say 195 would be the best due to our rim's width. Apparently , some Honda City owners changed theirs to 205 without any problem. However , some said that it may look a bit like a donut. I'm planning to change mine to 205 when my tyre wears out tho.

conti tyres that we are using, sidewall is very weak. just be careful not to park too close to the kerb.

hello guys im having problem with my honda city 3G
i wonder how come whenever i start my engine either early in morning or after i leave it quite some time then start again. my temperature meter , the boat lookalike green color is there ? It seems I have to warm up for about 2minutes before it dissapear, any idea what could be happening ? Im using Semi Syn Honda 5w-40 oil , could that be the problem and should I use the mineral instead?cause peviously whenever i start the car,i can move as soon as i start.now this is irritating thanks This post has been edited by andrewleewaikeong: Jul 13 2011, 03:34 PM |

It's always better to warm up the car for every morning / cold start for about 5 minutes no matter what car you drive.. If you love the car / want the car to last long
Honda is more sensitive towards this warm up procedure, which is why the new City has a blue temperature icon to signify the engine is cold and requires warm up before the go Other model like Civic and Accord has the complete temperature gauge but it is still more advisible to wait for the gauge to rise to optimum temperature level before taking off the car |

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jul 13 2011, 10:38 AM) what will happen if park too close to the kerb? hurting tyres is fine, until we get it punctured.to avoid getting the rim scratched that easily, just change to 205 tyre. |
