Don't be paranoid. No need to worry. If thief wanna steal car, sure target edi one. Not random one. Just pray that the thief do not harm the driver or passengers of the car. Life more important than car.

After price cut, Honda City to go for facelift

QUOTE
NEW DELHI: Honda City is going for a makeover to counter rising competition and falling sales, after a Rs 66,000 price cut a few days back.

Japanese major Honda's volume driver in India has seen severe contraction in demand after new launches like Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna hit its sales. Rising prices of petrol have added to woes as new rivals also come with diesel engine while City has none.

Industry sources said a new version of the City is expected by the festival season (around October) and this would sport changes both in the interior and on the exterior. While some of these could be cosmetic, others may be "somewhat heavy", the sources added.

Sources said design changes would make City more sporty. Bumper area and the tail-lamp of the car would be tweaked. "However, the engine will remain the same in all likelihood," they added.

When contacted, Honda denied any such plan. "We do not have any plan to launch the facelift for the City model during the festival period. Our current focus is the launch of the Brio (hatchback)."

The sources, however, maintained that a facelift is on the cards, as Honda desperately wants to protect its share in the premium sedan segment, though its grip is loosening. The company - once a leader in the category - is worried over the fact that City would see further erosion in demand with other models getting a strong foothold in the market.

sos - times of india

- Industry sources said a new version of the City is expected by the festival season (around October)
- changes both in the interior and on the exterior.
- sportier city, new bumper and tail-lamp
- same engine
- However, Honda denied such plan.

But, the main question is, are we getting a new facelift Honda City? icon_rolleyes.gif

btw, I love if they include Optitron meter as in previous generation. wub.gif

eh, any tyre shop can do it  for you, or else they will have contacts to do it for you.
if just minor scratch just forget it, it does not worth the effort.
mine is like a deep 5mm scratch there. hopefully it's at the side only.

if rim bend will cause balancing and alignment to go off
i suggest to go for aftermarket rims because replacing the OEM ones would be very pricey through SC
Otherwise, you could also source from tyre shops for 2nd hand OEM rims.. shouldn't cost you much

You can get alternative solutions, but also using gps/gsm tracking.

But connex offers cash after retrieving ur car and if stolen it's money on top of ur insured amount..

Those normal gps/gsm option are just alarm with those options.. U can track where ur car is and able to send remote command like to shut off car via gsm and can send u back location of car via gsm
And onboard gps

And u still need to pay extra for another phone line to the car

Which will render the alarm unit not workable if they put car in container, no reception. It will simply not work..

The model used is the GM600T - IES GPS/GSM. A subsidiary of Cheetah security.

All your usual security features like gsm/gps tracking.... etc.

But what I like is the iPhone app. Can control everything from your iPhone. All the system needs is a prepaid simcard. The whole system costs under RM2500 (nego).

Must point out that this system has no call center. You are the call center. icon_idea.gif Direct to you. Control in your hands.

More info:
http://www.caralarm.com.my/ies_gps.asp?vd=gm600m.html

Installation within 4 hours. Call in advance for appointment.
