NEW DELHI: Honda City is going for a makeover to counter rising competition and falling sales, after a Rs 66,000 price cut a few days back.

Japanese major Honda's volume driver in India has seen severe contraction in demand after new launches like Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna hit its sales. Rising prices of petrol have added to woes as new rivals also come with diesel engine while City has none.

Industry sources said a new version of the City is expected by the festival season (around October) and this would sport changes both in the interior and on the exterior. While some of these could be cosmetic, others may be "somewhat heavy", the sources added.

Sources said design changes would make City more sporty. Bumper area and the tail-lamp of the car would be tweaked. "However, the engine will remain the same in all likelihood," they added.

When contacted, Honda denied any such plan. "We do not have any plan to launch the facelift for the City model during the festival period. Our current focus is the launch of the Brio (hatchback)."

The sources, however, maintained that a facelift is on the cards, as Honda desperately wants to protect its share in the premium sedan segment, though its grip is loosening. The company - once a leader in the category - is worried over the fact that City would see further erosion in demand with other models getting a strong foothold in the market.

eh, any tyre shop can do it  for you, or else they will have contacts to do it for you.
if just minor scratch just forget it, it does not worth the effort.
mine is like a deep 5mm scratch there. hopefully it's at the side only.

What is the estimated price if the rim were bent resulting for running thru the pothole???

I don't know what is the industry rate, I went to the shop nearest to my house, they charged me rm 70 to fix it back.
Bengkok in the inside after run into really deep pothole.

lol if u fix at random tyre shop outside they just hit with a hammer...
do u think that will solve the bend and be properly in shape? hmm i wonder...
