Watched this video before on YouTube. Yes sportage won overall. Almost downloaded all available videos on YouTube regarding sportage. Only way to comfort myself while waiting for my unit to arrive. SA said whole m'sia no AP. So all cars sitting at the port, while waiting to be released :-(
Which branch did you book yours?
I've only booked mine early this month and was told that the waiting period is 2 months.
But last few days my SA told me the cars already at Port Klang, waiting for AP...

Wondering whether he bluffed or not hmm.gif

I'm from northern region. Made my booking on august 1st. Coming to 2 months soon.
If your SA and my SA said the same thing about the cars stuck at port, then the info is probably some what true lor...
I c.. I booked mine in KL..
Previously when I made the booking, I asked him by any chance can get earlier before 2 mths...
He firmly said "NO"...

But last few days, he changed his tunes and aksing me to prepare for the downpayment....
But as long the AP is still not approved, nothing much he can do right to get the car come out from Port Klang faster?

haih all these Government issues causing us consumers problems!
*
Ya lor!
This AP systems only make the cronies getting richer and consumers like us getting poorer.

BTW, to those that already get their ride, did you install any security film?
On my current ride, I installed 6-mil Llumar for >2k (saloon).
For Sportage, might cost >3k if I go back to Llumar...

Any good but reasonably priced security film to recommend?
My SA said can get me 6-mil security film for 1.7k, but can't remember which brand.
Definitely not the famous brands

If have to wait 3-4 months, may as well tell the SA to give us 2012 car.. But for your case since u already sold your ride, then the earlier the better.
For my case, the longer I hold my current ride, scared the 2nd-hand value keep on dropping as approaching year end....
And with bank loan agreement only valid for 2 months, if have to wait >2 mths need to take time-off again to go to the bank to sign new agreement.... wink.gif

TT - sound ok but my wife also want to see the car as well.

Aiaya..how you guy got your car ??? preorder without even touch it before you hand over the $$$ ?

I managed to sit inside one, start the engine, step on the pedal, press all the switches but can't drive it as it was sitting inside KIA service center for repair. blush.gif
But as I've driven my friend Tucson before, I just trust my gut feeling and put down the deposit.
The fact that my other half was there with me and she also like what was in front of her make it easier. biggrin.gif

The car is already at Port Klang, but the AP allocation is the issue.
That's what my SA has been telling me.... no matter how many times I call him enquiring about the car
So now just play the waiting game lor.....

I called my SA again this morning and got the same reply from him.
The car is already at Port Klang but no idea about the AP.
Those that still haven't received their cars are playing the waiting game

Btw, have you signed the bank loan already?

Someone posted in KIA FB page that the delivery of his Sportage is delayed as his SA told him that Naza transferred some of the APs for KIA to their upcoming release of the new Peugeot and Ferrari...

Did any of your SA told the same thing?
My SA only mentioned no AP, but no reason was given.

Hi Eddie,

When you called the Careline, did you quote your booking slip number or you just tell them you booked your KIA at which branch nad at what date?

If you've placed your order on early July and still no news about the car, some of us that booked later than you are way down the line

Thanks bro...
I just called the Careline no. and got the same reply as you.
They have my record also and he has no idea when Naza will receive the shipment.
When I asked him further whether they already allocated the que numbers for those already placed their bookings, was told that they can only do so when the cars already in M'sia....

If this is true, seems like many of us here kena bluffed by the SAs....

Thing is right now we don't know who's info we can believe. Either all our SAs lie to us about cars stuck at Port Klang without AP or the KIA Hotline staff bluff us.

I called again KIA CMD this afternoon as my SA totally have no idea on the expected delivery date.
The Hotline staff said that the expected delivery date is 3 months from today, as informed by their management. The Hotline staff already feedback to their management that they received many queries from customers and finally they received instruction to tell customers it will be 3 months as no stock is available for delivery. Sigh!

Head on over to the Curve tomorrow to check out the last leg of the Test Drive Kia On Tour roadshow! It runs from Oct 12 to Oct 16 at the Centre Court. I think there are Sportages for test drive. smile.gif

if i don't get it by Nov, i'm going for others.
*
My SA also invited me to the road show. He asked me to test drive both the Sportage and Sorento so that can get the lucky draw coupons for the Forte 1.6... wink.gif

If cars will only arrive in January (3 mths), may as well wait for car manufacture in 2012, as January shipment should be manufactured in 2011

I booked techno orange as 1st option and sand track as 2nd option. At first I wanna put white as 2nd option but my SA told me waiting list for white is longer. The way it is right now, I think any colour will do as dunno when can get the car

For my case, from what the Hotline staff told me, the 3 months period is from 7 Oct, eventhough I made my booking on the 1st week of September

Hi there, just made my booking yesterday @the curve  rclxm9.gif

The SA told me that, confirm will arrive on mid Jan 2012  rclxms.gif

He told me, now already end of the year, so if reg now next year will be counted as 2nd year and value will low, bla.. bla.. so better wait la til Jan.
*
Confirm is not the word that I will take it seriously, especially coming from the mouth of Naza-KIA SA vmad.gif

Wonder why he didn't tell you that car manufacture in 2011 but register in 2012 will depreciate more than car manufacture in 2012 and register in 2012.... shakehead.gif

Maybe they want us to buy Forte, Rondo, but not Sportage or Sorento. My SA told me that they just received the AP for Forte Kuop. IIRC they launched the Kuop back in Apr or May this yr. Imagine those that already booked Kuop until now. If u booked the Sportage during the road show, some SAs said can get before CNY but some SAs said have to wait for up to 6 months. Even they have no clue on the estimated delivery time

bro u guys not considered the ix35 tucson before??
As its the nearest option beside sportage

I saw some people cannot wait and change to other segment car...
Why not consider ix35??Im sure got stock
Im impress with the 2.4L power of ix35
*
From what I read at autoworld forum, some Tucson owners have to wait for 6-7 mths to get their ride. And since Tucson comes in 3 variants, incl the 2.4l, I don't think their waiting time will be shorter.
My friend drives a 2l Tucson and I've tumpang her a few times already. I still prefer Sportage interior but the biggest selling point of Sportage is the exterior.
