Peugeot 508! Go sit in one smile.gif haha.

any news regarding the delivery of the Sportage yet?

Called again KIA hotline this afternoon and got the same reply again...
3 months waiting time from early October.... so earliest they said is late Dec / early Jan..
Complained to them why some SAs mentioned cars already at Port Klang but have APs problem...
They replied that their top management informed them that there are no stock in Malaysia, so have to wait for the next batch to arrive here...

update: i will be getting mineral silver on saturday. finally
*
Congrats on you bro rclxms.gif
I'll also be getting the techno orange next week when I'm back in M'sia for the New Year holiday.
My missus just paid the downpayment and inspect the car this afternoon.

By the way, normally what's the mileage when you guys collected the Sportage? icon_question.gif
My missus told me the mileage just now was 210km.
On my previous 2 cars, the mileage were <100 km...
I'm just a bit fussy on this kind of thing blush.gif

And another thing, Naza HQ sent circular to the SAs not to install alarm at the authorised installer as there have been reported cases of short circuit.

New car with 210km mileage?  shocking.gif

That's what worrying me too....
If the SA drives the car himself from Port Klang to KL, the mileage will only be, at most 50km?

Emmmm....My cousin will be getting his sportage next week as well. Should raise this concern to him.

Btw, any recommended place to do the window tinting for Sportage? Or let the SA to do it for us?
*
The SA quoted me 1.5k for 4-mil security tint....
I know I can get it cheaper outside.... I believed the SA also want to get his cut

Took delivery of my ride on Thursday....
But the stupid SA really fark-up on the number plate and spoilt our day
My missus scold him upside down coz he registered the number plate without consulting us even though she reminded him few times already.
We told him to find a way to get the number that we wants as the number is just a normal 4-digit number of my birthday that he can just pay RM210 to JPJ... not those expensive 2 or 3 digit numbers.
He said it will cost us RM1.5k to re-register the car with the new 4-digit number but we told him we not going to come up a cent from our own pocket as it was definitely not our fault.
Will let him sort-out the issue 1st or else we will bring it up to his higher management.

Anyway, the odometer when we took the car is 127km as the SA said he drove it from Padang Jawa, Klang to KL...
Did my tinting on Friday at Cool World. You can check with Damonzero at auto-garage on the offer for 6-mil security tint.
Yesterday installed TPMS at Quicksave. Luckily decided to keep the original sport rims, if not another 5-6k gone if get the OZ, Enkei or BBS rims there. The attached picture was taken there.

Called Shine N Shield for the PPS coating but was told last Saturday and next Saturday are fully booked.
Might make appointment before the CNY for the PPS.

if you can avoid saturday pack like crazy. I did mine at glenmarie so far so good.
for 1000km not much of choice need to do at a major branch for them to register you into the system

In general unlike the hyundai tucson where there are more problems, i have not heard much issues about the kia sportage
So i guess its not a major issue where you do
*
Thanks a lot bro.
But Glenmarie is under NSS right? Not Naza Kia...
If have to do at major branch, maybe I'll try Naza Kia Setapak coz near to my home...

After coating, did you go back there for touch-up after 1 week or 2 weeks?
Thanks...

which seller did you buy your KNN filter from and how much?

Might be best to take note of the FC change. I read when installed the FC gets worse good to know for future KNn buyers
*
I saw a post in Sportage Owners Club in FB that he's averaging 50x km per full tank after installing K&N.
Mine is less than 400km/tank but I haven't done 1000km servicing yet.

I also ordered 1 from Lowyat Auto Garage.
Should receive it next week and can install after my 1st service.

i doubt after first service any difference with the mileage
after watching them do the service not likely.

Hopefully mine would that be much worse

have not gone back for King's coat checking for both of my cars
will do after the new year, been busy.
So how's the sportage with the coating. My i suggest you get in touch with KC from optimum and by the wax he sells and the No rinse car wash.
After you wash and wax your car the sportage will shine even more. If are up for it buy the OPtiseal to, seal wax even shiner.
I like wax because it gives the slick and depth look sealing the car on top of the coat even shiner. Gives you close to the motor showroom finish
*
Honestly bro, can't see much different yet...
Will make appointment again with Carzmo for touch-up this weekdays before they close for CNY
