Hope the current generation of Kia's are better than previous which had endless problems. I also know of many Forte owners who are starting to have problems with their gearboxes, etc already. Not the kind of scenario Kia would want to have if they wish to improve their brand image here in Malaysia.

But i would suggest waiting till the Hyundai Avante is launched in less than 2 months time. That car is really doing well and so far it seems to be way better than the Forte. Hope the prices are competitive.

the price is about the same with asx..and if add bit more, u can go for 3008..

It is abit overpriced as many people said. Even my current sportage also not enough to pay the downpayment(Kia quote me RM12k).

About ASX, I scared it will become Proton like what happened to Lancer

I think this sportage is very likeable. I am driving 2005 sportage and my suv never gave me any problem, still cruising and having fun everyday.

U can try ask your local SA what is the waiting time
Mine here they told me first batch coming 1month later if booking now

I didn't go for the launch..it's a media launch and i went to showroom and check out the car d.. All I have to say is WOW. go check it out

i also booked before launch...and my SA informed i will get the car within 2 weeks time...

Just bring them to the showroom and compare the two cars sportage is a new car with loads of features and it stands out from alll the SUV because of the design.. But u know la Malaysians and their mentality towards Korean cars is abit on the negative side.. It's your car you should decide what u like! ASX is abit dated to me..

Kia Malaysia has confirmed that the CKD sportage will be the same price. It's like the Kia forte..first batch were fully CBU and now CKD same price it's better to get CBU IMO..hehe..yep I'll write a review on the sportage! Stay tuned!
