so a warning to all nintendo gamers, do not buy game download code from anywhere especially those from lelong.my site which is normally cheaper (i bought wind waker hd code for RM140 only vs. the average price of RM180 for the physical game). if wanna buy game from eshop, use the eshop coupon instead to buy the game..

i bought a lot of wii/wii u games from him, even my wii u console, so far no issue. he should remember me. but with this latest info, i suggest DO NOT buy those download code for games from him or any other vendor (so far from lelong.my i think he's the only vendor who sells download code for games).

ok. noted. i always think download codes for games are less trustworthy than cash cards so it's not a big deal for me.

shit! i've created new nnid, deleted the nnid i used to buy the download code, even frmatted the entire console, and i still get that damn error! now ive lost all my save game data, lost 4 of my donwloaded games, 2 of which i paid legitimately, and im nowhere than i first started...im starting to get pissed off at nintendo now!!!

welp... cannot help much since that error code is kinda rare & even undocumented
i believe you can try to recover your previous nnid by calling their customer support, but yeah that will cost quite a lot for international call (i'm not too sure about the rates etc). plus if you decided to call them, make sure to lie about your location etc like mentioning you're on holiday on here bla bla bla... just to be safe since some ppl got their club nintendo account (yeah not nnid but who knows) deactivated when the CS realized you're not NA/CA ppl

yeah remove your account also not a problem, but when stuffs happen, their customer supports are definitely the most problematic. just take a look at recent case of PSN account hack etc. and you might understand what I meant by that

game update/patch so far ok since it is made not through eshop. my super smash bros. update yesterday have no prob.

i can't say it is a definite ban, but from all sources i managed to find on forums, tech support etc. it all points out to ban due to downloading games using downloading code obtained not from official sources. and i'm not sure if it is a permanent ban or temporary. i'll just hv to wait n see

the joke is, last nite i received a free wii sports club game download from nintendo (i dunno why i get it for free, did anyone else also received free download?) after install, when i run the game, it said that the game need to connect to eshop to run for the first time. since i cannot access eshop, i cannot play that free game. what a joke!!

Thanks for the hint. So I do believe is either you buy it from eshop/Amazon is the safest bet. Some seller are just not ethical.
