Android is great, but I find it's a little too fragmented. things I built on a certain brand of phone doesn't means it'll be working 100% on the next device.
We have to give credits to apple for making a unified environment which helps to build an ecosystem where users can buy stuff with no hassle at all. and those stores are selling music, apps, books, podcast, videos and etc all under the hood of itunes. When all of this are acting the way like they said "it just works" then why would anybody wanted to use their i-devices with other manager other than itunes?
Even though android have came to the point where google are selling us app with market. but they still hasn't cover the music, books, podcast and videos. To a single user experience that would be very fragmented where they have to go to different vendor (amazon for example) to get what they want.
It's a shame that android still hasn't catch up to ios on the user experience yet.
Other than that, I guess us geeks can enjoy to have all of the freedom to use android the way we want while let the non geek happy with a simple unified itunes store.
Sorry mate, I can't help but to point this out so that we have to make it clear that itunes are not meant to break the sync the way u've mentioned it. u are just not playing by the rule.

the feel just right at home with buying stuff. and it's all under 1 unified environment. this helps to monetize the ecosystem.
if google don't do anything about android's fragmentation, most likely android wouldn't be get as big as what ios can achieve.

Sometimes, I just finds that the comments on itunes are inaccurate that's why I wanted to make a comment here.

they are just providing a place where we can buy stuff on our own will. they offer in app purchase for other apps as well. well... it's true that they want a 30% cut to the profit. but I guess when they are providing an excellent mall (like pavillion) while there are high amount of hit (visitors). if they can make the sale riding on the success of the store. why not?
if u mean u wanted to buy songs from else where.... with IOS u still can buy ur own CD and rip it with itunes. u still can buy songs from amazon and sync it with itunes.
Android market and Amazon are making a cut out of the sales too. no one's doing it for charity.
Anyway, what I like about android SDK is that it's free.

oh dear, do look around, we never said how shit is apple
what we are saying are our own opinion against apple, personally i have no grudge against apple and i would agree with kfc that they made a really great invention that created a unified environment for both users and developers
but do remember, this is a android thread where we are supposed to talk about android and also SGS
i'm not some senior member or anything but do respect other members of the thread here, if u have a complain u can do it elsewhere...

yesterday if i'm not mistaken, a forum member made a thread and copy-paste an article commenting on how android users are? but did he stop and think for a while what he did?
imagine when ur pooping and in the middle of ur business ur mum banged the door open and said ur poop smells (bad example but thats how bad it is)
the worst thing is, he left by saying we android users went fanatic and just ran without a word... what kind of ppl does that? if the comment u said is strong, stand there dun run...
I use apple before and i'm amazed at most of the features of iphone except for facetime, itunes, bluetooth, etc
Both phones have their pros and cons, each user choose their own phones themselves... if u dont like ur current phone u can trade it in for an iphone its as easy as that
Remember this, ppl come into this thread to find out more info and get help or make friends with fellow SGS users, not to argue, fight, and to talk about others or complaining how bad it is.
So do respect others, if u cant do that, i believe there's more to come
