Added on June 13, 2011, 9:53 amYou can try F1 JVP V6. Its a great rom. Some how the Cell Standby only happen after I do a rom flash. After that it didn't happen again.

Just do a nandroid backup of your current rom and give F1 a try. Only take you a few minutes to restore to your old rom if you don't like it.

Well I have been using Titanium backup and so far it works well. Just copy your titanium folder in the internal SD card to your PC just in case you accidently format the internal SD card.

When you flash new roms, the contents in the internal SD card remains so you can just reinstall Titanium and start restoring your backups.

Ok. I have flash 3 GB rom so far. First is stock, then Darky V10.1 and now F1 JVP V5.

So everytime after I finish flashing the rom, I will start doing the usual customisation like installing GoLauncher and setting it up. Titanium backup to restore my apps and data etc to get my phone back to my normal settings.

I don't have any phone line or wifi here cos I'm in the middle of south China sea off thailand coast so I always put my phone on Airplane mode. And i hardly use my phone except for alarm. But then the battery would start to drop and when I check my battery usage, the Cell Standby is on top like 50%-80% depending on how long the phone is on. On 2 occasion I have like 50% battery left before i go to bed and by the next morning the battery is dead. So it use up like 50% of the battery on Airplane mode while i'm sleeping.

But after I recharge my phone the next day, the Cell Standby problem is gone and my phone can be on standby the wholeday and only use up like 2% of the battery.

I think you have the cell standby problem just like mine. Should be ok after you recharge.

It happen to me right after i flash new rom everytime. I solution is to take out the battery like for 30secs and put back. Then it will be gone hopefully for good as I have not seen it come back yet.

You're are asking in the wrong forum. Here you only get 1 answer and that is Samsung. Try asking is the HTC forum too.

HTC has better implementation of Adroid out of the box. Software update also better. I did try my cousin's Desire HD without any mod and its so smooth. SGS is trying so hard flashing rom everyday just to get there.

I think Desire HD better for him with the big screen.

I think you have brick you phone. If i am mistaken, updating kernel is updating the bootloader and if it fails then you brick you phone as there is no way for the phone to boot anymore.

I think the price of plus and SGS2 is almost a grand difference. So SGS plus might be a better choice if you don't want to spend too much.

Now that explain it.

I think the best deal is get the AP SGS which is about RM1250 for 8GB.

Here is a printscreen of my battery usage for my SGS running on F1 JVP V5 with Kernel Dark Core 2.7.3. Its on Airplane mode all the time and so far the battery usage under standby is very good.

The lens only allow light to pass through. It is the sensor that is "absorbing" the light if that is what you want to call it. Furthermore the shutter speed alone don't determine how much light pass thru the lens. Its is both shutter speed and Aperture that determine how much light pass thru the lens.

It's a lot easier to flash now since you're already on GB. Just need to go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and wipe dalvik cache and the install the cutom rom from zip. No need Odin install anymore.
